The Bloggers With The Most To Say

I have recently fallen back in love with my bike.  I am about to go ride to an appointment.  It's on my top friends list right now.  I have a mountain bike but I really want to get a cruiser too.

Do you have a bike? What kind?  Do you ride it only on trails or to run errands too?

I have a mountain bike made into a hybrid as I've upped the pressure in my shocks and have road tires. I love riding my bike places, though I will only ride on trails and such because there are virtually no cyclists on the streets where I live and drivers do not pay attention to them. Dangerous!

One time I was riding in downtown, well, Midtown, Atlanta and got to the intersection of 10th and Peachtree and couldn't get my feet to unclip. So I was trying my best to balance but I lost it and just slammed down on my side in front of about 30 cars. How embarrassing! A few people asked if I was okay. I just held two thumbs up as people passed. I'm such a tool. :)
Josh got me a bike for my birthday this year and I LOVE it! It's fun and great exercise. I love the kind of exercise that is so fun that you don't even know you're getting a work-out. I used to ride it to class and back every day, but now I have a parking pass because my campus has a lot of hills, and the building my class is in this summer is a very far ride up-hill. I hate getting to class sweating and out of breath! But I'm trying to get back into the groove of being active. Josh and I made a promise that we're going to start bike riding more often. We just feel guilty every time because our dogs love walks, so we usually end up taking them for a walk instead. By the way, Josh and I rented cruisers to ride on the beach in LA, and the handle bars were very awkward. I noticed the cruisers in the store were all the same way. It hurts your wrists to hold the handles because they curve inward, making you need to curve your wrists outward and it is uncomfortable. Just a heads up before you buy one. Test it out first.
I used to ride my bike everywhere. It's an adorable ancient Raleigh that came with rainbow streamers. Now that I'm in the city, I'm terrified of riding it in traffic. I really miss it though. Here it is the day my coworkers decorated it:

Oh my gosh, how cute!
Right? It was pretty cute on its own, but they just couldn't resist redecorating it for me.
I love to ride bikes but I don't own one :-(. It's too hard to ride around here anyway with all the hills.
I got a really awesome cruiser (but not too drastic) a little bit ago. I love it, I ride so much more now that I'm in a less aggressive position on the bike!

The whole "you never forget how to ride a bike" thing doesn't apply to me-guess what folks? I forgot. I used to ride around all the time as a kid; then years later when I tried as a teen, it was an embarrassing downward spiral. As soon as I put both feet on the peddles, I would fall over. No, I'm not proud of this... :| So, no, I do not have a bike!
Well, I bought a bike about 3 weeks ago but it needs new tires so I can ride it. :) I better get on it!

I had one but my friend Albert broke it that f*cker. He would ride it to work every day and eventually, it died :( But I loved riding it during the good Miami months (November - April).
Nope, I've never rode a bike. :P Jen is going to teach me how to ride this summer! ^_^
I love my road bike more than one would love a spouse.

Actually, I would love a mountain or cruiser, specifically one to ride around town for errands.
