The Bloggers With The Most To Say

So I don't know if it's just me, or if there's something weird going on, but I seem to be having these really vivid crazy dreams. Even more strange, is I can remember them in complete detail when I wake up! They've really been bugging me, so much so that I actually started another blog just so I could write them down and stop obsessing over them. lol. I think a lot of my personal dream weirdness is hormonal, but I know a lot of friends who have also been having really vivid dreams. What about the rest of you 20sb? Any other weird dreams that you would care to share?

I have always had weird dreams my whole life, but since getting pregnant they have gotten even weirder (which I didn't think was possible) and I have had them even more often. I can usually remember them after I wake up, but I can't always remember them a few days later unless I write them down or unless I told a bunch of people about them on the day that I had the dream.

Freud said the craziest dreams are the most profound ones.

I smoke a lot of weed, which represses dreams/messes with REM sleep. I don't dream much, and don't really remember them if I do. But I usually go to bed somewhat high. If I go the whole day, or a few days, without smoking, I will have extremely vivid dreams. Like a rebound effect or something.

I've had crazy vivid dreams my entire life. I've written a few posts about them.  Sadly they're mostly traumatic nightmares where I and/or everyone I know and love gets slaughtered.  That whole thig about dying in real life if you die in a dream is definitely untrue.  I've died in my dreams more times than I can count.

Dying in dreams is said to indicate symbolic death. Like something is ending or beginning. Like a career, a relationship, etc. Dreams supposedly speak metaphorically. That is their "logic".

Like the dream where you are naked at school or work. It's symbolic for feeling exposed or vulnerable.

I've died a lot in my dreams. Nothing really bloody or traumatic though. And no slaughters. The worst are where you are responsible for someone else's death. I have had many of those dreams. Like I ran over a little girl in my car in the neighborhood.  So relieved when I wake up lol.

My other reoccurring theme was I was always trying to call somebody on my cell phone, and either my fingers were too fat, or too clumsy, and I kept hitting the wrong buttons. I would get like 6 numbers in and then hit a 5 instead of a 7 or something. I could never get the number dialed properly. That could be symbolic for not being able to communicate.

I keep having nightmares where I have to watch my kids die in some way, and I can't prevent it. It's horrible. And they're always the most mundane things turned totally batcrap crazy.

I've always had pretty vivid dreams. They're just getting really intense lately. Glad to know I'm not alone! Maybe it has something to do with all those solar storms going on or something... the weather has also been off this year. Hmmm

My dreams are just completely and utterly bonkers. I'm pretty convinced that my brain is secretly smoking crack when I'm not looking. It's the only logical explanation!

Mine, too.

Like last night, I had this crazy long dream that my husband was actually my third husband. My first one was when I was 17, and he was 21 and only married me so I would have sex with him, and then he left me six months later. Then, in dream world, I married an old guy. Like, oooooooold guy. And he left me when he realized I wasn't a virgin. Then I married my real husband. But in my dream, I was so panic-stricken that he was going to leave me too that I woke up in a panic.

Later, there was a pair of t-rexes in my backyard.

Dangit. I should probably blog this stuff, too.

I had a dream last year that there was an animatronic T-rex rampaging around the bogan part of Canberra. And it had a bunch of real velociraptors that were rounding people up for the T-rex to eat, like little dino sheepdogs. But I knew I was okay because they were only rounding up the bogans.

I also had a dream that I was getting married to Gene Hunt from Ashes to Ashes, and Kate and Pippa Middleton were my bridesmaids. I actually blogged that one. Because it was legitimately insane.

That settles it. I'm gonna start blogging this stuff. I love that real raptors were working as henchmen for a robot trex.

I have one (at least) vivid NIGHTMARE a night. Or day, in my case. :P They're a total pain in ze ass. The last few days have been okay, though. Dreaming can be odd, though even the weirdest dream or nightmare can have a significance. I would say keep doing what you're doing with your dream/nightmare blog, though make sure you look up dream significance. I use DreamMoods and they are usually pretty accurate.

That sucks that you have such frequent nightmares. :( Mine aren't really BAD, but they are just getting weirder and weirder lol. I can always count on my tooth dreams though. Whenever I dream of losing teeth something crazy changes in my life in the next two weeks after the dream. Just like clock work! Sadly, I only know the significance of teeth. I haven't looked into anything else. I'll have to check out DreamMoods.
