The Bloggers With The Most To Say

Do you find it difficult? Has it made your blogging more enjoyable? Easier?

I've considered having two as we're planning a wedding and hoping to move soon. I'd like to be able to blog about that and let family/friends know, but at the same time, there's more to my life than those things. More than I'd like my family to be reading as well.

I've thought about doing two blogs, but it's hard enough to manage one! I give props to the people who have more than one blog. I think it would be difficult. That's just me.
I split my time between my blog, my personal youtube channel and my collaborative youtube running channel. So 1 blog & 2 vlog channels
i have 2 blogs. one personal that i try to remain semi-anonymous that i post on almost daily and another that is linked to my facebook so my family and friends can see what i'm up to and it houses a freelance resume. i don't post on that every day, it's more like once a week.
I used to have a Xanga that was read by my real-life friends, and maintained it for a few months after starting my semi-anon Blogger page. Had I cared more about keeping those who read my Xanga informed I think it would have been easy enough to keep it.

In your situation I don't think it will be hard to have two blogs, since it seems like you'd be using one to keep everyone updated on specific events, and once the wedding a move are done [which probably seems like an eternity away!] you can choose to keep it to post weekly/monthly news reports for your family or just let it fall by the wayside and focus again on your personal blog.
That makes perfect sense. After we settle in when the move happens, my life won't be nearly as interesting for them to keep up on or for a blog to be maintained as regularly.
I have two, one on Wordpress, one on Tumblr. I give them both fairly equal love and post regularly, but they serve very different purposes. Wordpress: personal blog/ramblings on my ridiculous life. Tumblr: music, pictures, interesting articles, shorter ramblings on my ridiculous life. I don't find it hard, mostly enjoyable because it gives me multiple outlets for the snark ; )
"Multiple outlets for the snark" is an instant win for me.
Haha, thanks!
I'm going to start a tumblr for when I EVENTUALLY do my Shakespeare project, because not everyone (all 3 people) who read my main blog will necessarily want to hear about that everyday. But plenty of people maintain a real blog and a tumblr or other secondary blog. So I think when you do have distinct circles of readers it makes sense to have separate blogs to talk about different things. For instance, I wouldn't tell my pub buddies how the UK had its first major non-juried criminal trial or the merits of the new Supreme Court system because they just wouldn't care.

As long as you find the right balance of time for both, I see no reason why you shouldn't start up and maintain both.
A. You should start your tumblr now so I can read it.

B. You make some very good points. Leaning towards having two now.
A. I'm a little scared to start/want to finish my current book first/a massive procrastinator.
B. Whoopee! I would ask you to send me the link, but I'm not a massive fan of wedding planning :P But good luck with that. I'll stick with your normal one thank you very much :D
A. Well, when you do, be sure to let me know.

B. I'm not a massive fan of wedding planner either. AKA: I scheduled a destination wedding because they take care of everything. Other than letting people know some major details (like the wedding is in Jamaica), there probably won't be too much wedding-like stuff. So I'm going to send it to you anyway (once it's up). You have no choice.
