Freelance Writing

Hi All....
Does anyone write for freelance? Do you know a good website to look? Anyone know who is looking?!

I don't write but I know people who use Associated Content, Exquisite Writing, The Writers Bridge, and if you are interested you might want to try The Red Room. I've found some good reads there, and it's possible to get noticed by those bigger and better than. They call themselves the online home of many of the world's greatest writers (some of whom haven't even been discovered yet).

So if we are all trying to break into freelance writing, does this mean we need to start slugging it out with each other for every small writing gig we come across? FYI, I have a mean right hook! ;)

A website that you might want to post your services up is on http://www.elance.com. I'm not exactly sure how it works. I remember reading about it from an Internet marketing book. Does anybody have an interest in website copywriting? I've heard there's a lot of money into that.
