The Bloggers With The Most To Say

Hi All....
Does anyone write for freelance? Do you know a good website to look? Anyone know who is looking?!

Any advice is welcome!

Thank you!

I didn't see this until after I posted. But yeah, I co-sign on Freelance Writing Gigs.
A really good site which I use a lot is Constant Content.
I'm loving this discussion! I'm currently a journalism student and would love to start putting myself out there. Some of you have given a lot of websites that I'll definitely be checking out soon! Thanks!
After I left a gig in Boston, I was freelance writing in California for two years. After contributing enough to some local and regional publications, I was able to get regular work. But then the recession hit, magazines cut back on freelance budgets and one of my main clients folded. So I had to jump back into the 9 to 5 world to keep the lights on.

Anyway, one site I checked on a regular basis was this one: http://www.freelancewritinggigs.com/ It has new leads every day. I can't lie. They are competitive but it's definitely a good resource.

Aside from that, the other question is what types of stories do you want to write. A lot of magazines have online versions now. But you can also check out sites like Slate and Salon. Also check out in-flight magazines that are always looking for stuff.

There's a lot out there and to be honest, it's a tough market to crack, but if you're serious, you can make it happen. If you want more information about any of this or if you have specific questions, hit me up on my page or send me a private message. Hope this helps. Peace.
