Gar-blog SALE! (better than craigslist)
Hey friends,
I was going through my closet this afternoon and it reminded me of an idea I had a few weeks ago. I want to sell some of my old things on my blog. But I thought, "Shoot, if I have things I want to sell on my blog, I'm sure other people have things they want to sell!"
I'm thinking we could have a community garage sale on our blogs... or a gar-blog sale, because I like to think I'm clever. The way we would do it is like a carnival. Everyone write a post with pictures and prices of the items they want to sell. Send the link to me (thereneeborhood AT gmail DOT com) by October 9 and I'll let my blog be the central hub for your links. If someone wants to purchase one of your items, they can leave YOU a comment and you can work with that buyer to arrange payment and shipping. I'm going to stay far away from the financial side of it!
Imagine, one centrally located blog with links you can browse for FANTASTIC prices on really cool stuff!!

I've made this a permanent feature on my own blog for my stuff. If you don't make this weekend's deadline and you still want to participate, I would be more than happy to link to you on my permanent page called "Shoe Fund."

It sound like a nice idea I'll have to see what people are selling. I tend to give bags of stuff away to those people who come around to pick it up but I'll be a voyeur on this one.
