The Bloggers With The Most To Say

My friend wrote a blog entry about gender biases and gender specific intolerances, outing me that I have a few.

I do. For instance, I can tolerate indecisiveness from a girl so much better than I can if the culprit is male. I get really impatient with my male friends if they dilly dally or verbally deliberate/sit on the fence on their decisions whereas I'm more patient with my girl friends when they sit there and talk and talk and talk out their decision making.

Anyway: here's my friend's blog entry: http://bit.ly/5haXUz

do you guys have any gender specific intolerances? what are they?

Pet Peeves About Women - By Me

1. Their willingness to not let being wrong stop them from winning an argument.
2. Their closet that is full of clothes and shoes...most of which have never been worn.
3. Their hate for the smallest moment of silence.
4. Their belief that logic < emotion

It's a good thing they pretty...
lol nice.

1. i admit fault!
2. yes..... i say i haven't worn about 10 percent of my stuff
3. lol i don't hate silence but i do love to talk
4. a little guilty of this 70 percent of the time :)
The thing is, the same things that irritate me to no end are exactly the traits that I find most adorable.
I am sorry to admit that I can be very sexist in my tolerance for "girly" behavior from guys - that is, I cannot stand whining from a man. I know we all like to complain (esp. to our lovers) - I sure as hell do my fair share - but nothing is less sexy/manly than acting like a baby!

Note - I don't mean when ill, either. That, I can deal with - more like whining over day-to-day stuff that drives me nutty
i hear you about the whining!
if it takes longer then 10 minutes then i automatically classify then as a drama queen, It's a double standard cuz i dont mind the fixating from girls
Maybe this is horrid, but if a guy cries more than me? I can't handle it. I dated a crier and it didn't work out. I am NOT saying guys should never cry, but if it's ALL the time it's too much.
lol i dated a hot headed cry on command gym rat once. yikes. did not work. his crying was kind of a diversion tactic though. he cried to get himself out of trouble

but i imagine i'd feel the same way as you even if it weren't a manipulatiion tactic.

I wish my current boyfriend would shed a tear...lol
Hmmm...

I hate how some men think there are no women gamers and I also hate how if they meet one online, they think they're over weight.

I hate how many women look down on girl gamers (and guy gamers, for that matter.)

I hate how so many women can me sooo dramatic and catty.

Hmmm, I'll think of more, I'm sure. Time for Wrath (of the Lich King)!
now would you care if the men were catty?
do you have any double standards?
HAH! I actually LOOOVE playing video games and my husband and I play Call of Duty. My Xbox profile thing says "I'm not a fat chick." But I also have this distaste for almost any other female gamer I come across while playing online (God complex, much?) and assume they are probably a gross and obese girl.
gad. Call of Duty. One of three of my boyfriend's mistresses. The Dallas Cowboys would be the 2nd of the three.
Argh! Ok - not to discredit my gender, but here goes. I work in a warehouse. Up til recently I was one of two girls there. We worked hard, we were like "one of the guys" in a way. Sure we'd chat while we worked (as does everyone) but work was always first.

Anyway - recently we've hired three more women. These women NEVER SHUT UP! The are constantly talking - full on, loud conversations - and stopping work to do so! They never talk about work stuff - unless they are trying to convince the rest of us to have potluck parties. YEESH! On top of that - they are constantly emailing forward jokes and chain letters, which is just aggravating no matter who sends them - but they never went around til these three showed up! It drives me nuts because they assume since I'm a woman I want to take part in the yap-fest - but I just want to do my work and get outta there.

Anyway - to be fair, here's my generalization on the boys. They like to fart. Out loud. Whenever possible. I think if you're over the age of eight, that's just rude.
