I've noticed a ton of 20SB topics revolving around a similar theme: Leaving.
Whether it's short term (travel), mid-term relocation (out-of-state/country internship, study abroad, etc), or permanent departure (job? "fresh start"?), it seems a lot of us are on the move.
For myself, I've been blogging from Taiwan for the last 9 months. But that's nearing its close -- in September, I'll be returning to my home in California. Partly due to my travels here on and around the island, I know I will hit the ground running when I get back. I've already made a list of US destinations I want to visit and I don't know if how long I'll be in California before I get an itch to live somewhere else (considering moving back to Florida).
Is it just me? Or are we 20 Somethings moving around a lot?
God I want to move so badly. I work from home, so I can go wherever, but my husband's job is very stable, and in this economy, it wouldn't be a very good idea to leave. My family and friends are all here, and don't get me wrong, I actually do enjoy living in southern Louisaiana, but when I see people from my past living in fabulous places, I can't help but feel jealous!
I think that in your 20's you have to travel as much as you can... You never know what will happen in the next few years. I´ve been traveling a lot and I wouldn´t change it for anything in the world. I already went to Italy which was my dream destination, I still have to go to London, Tokyo, Australia, Brazil, and Tahiti... but for that I need to win the lottery ot work a lot to save money.
