The Bloggers With The Most To Say

So, I just finished my blog about being arrested at 15. It was the only time I've ever been arrested.

In summary, it wasn't all that exciting. I was just underage and driving without a liscence.

So have you ever been arrested? If so, what's your story?

Wow...what a bitchy lady :S You go girl!
Haha! That's understandable!
Well done. Sometimes you can't just walk away from things.
I was *nearly* arrested once. I managed to talk my way out of it. lol.

It was 2005 and at the time I was hanging out with a bunch of ricer kids. We definitely weren't liked by the police- the stupid ones had a tendency to try and race each other down the busiest street on this side of town and cause problems. I was riding with one of my sensible friends to meet up with a couple of other people- he was driving safely, taking his time etc. We still got there before anyone else though. Turns out, the other 2 cars we were meeting up with decided to catch the attention of 2 undercover cops by weaving in and out of traffic and driving recklessly. They pulled up, closely followed by the 2 cop cars. The cops jump out of their cars, guns drawn and demand that we all get out of our cars and put our hands on the roof. We all did as we were told to, and I was the first one they came to, to ask for ID.

I'd never had to deal with cops in this kind of situation before but my family are all military and police so I kind of figured I'd just deal with them the same way I'd deal with my family. I was extremely polite and asked them to get my handbag out of the backseat for me so that I could get my ID's. They allowed me to get it myself. They checked my ID's (both drivers license and military civilian) and asked why I was the only girl with 5 other guys. I explained that they were my friends and I apologized for whatever the other 4 had done, but the friend I was riding with and I had done nothing wrong. We were simply waiting for them to arrive so that we could figure out where we were going for the night. I assured them that we weren't armed, and I would appreciate it if they would holster their weapons- they could even frisk us if they didn't believe me, but we were just some kids trying to find something to do on a friday night and pointing a 9mm or a .22 at me wasn't necessary for my cooperation. They holstered their guns and proceeded to check the other ID's. Then they asked to search the cars. My friend was driving a CRX and had an open bottle of vodka in the hatchback. He was paranoid about it so I claimed it, knowing that there was a possibility they could charge me with underage drinking- I took it out from the back and placed it on the roof so that the cops could see it. They gave us a bit of a lecture about reckless driving and the 2 cars that had caught their attention were trying to be smart asses about it. I yelled over at them that I'd beat their asses if they didn't shut up and show the cops some respect. With that, the cops smiled and said they would let us go because I'd happily cooperated with them and been respectful. They told us to get the hell out of dodge quickly because they'd called for 6 cop cars to pick us up and take us downtown. The one that I'd been talking to the most pulled me aside and thanked me for being pleasant and told me to go home and have a nice long drink- but he didn't want to see me again that night.

As we pulled out of the far end of the parking lot, we saw 6 cop cars with lights and sirens blazing pull into the opposite end. Those cars were for us.
oh! and there was the other time... in school. heh. I called a meeting with the administration about a teacher that was failing me even though I knew more about the subject they were teaching than they did, and I had all the notes and evidence to prove that they were teaching it wrong. The admins refused to believe me even though I had witness statements from other students, and my parents were with me too. I finally lost my temper, flipped the conference desk upside down and punched a cork board after 3 hours of pleading with them to just listen to me and consider what I had to say. They called the school cop in to arrest me. I locked myself in the conference room and wouldn't let him in. My dad had to grab me and hold me back from swinging at the cop when I finally allowed them to come back into the room to collect their things. Needless to say- i got suspended for 10 days for "threats on a teacher's life" (yeah, whatever. maybe if they'd actually listened to me, I wouldn't have lost my temper in the first place- and I never threatened anyone's life.) but my dad talked them out of pressing charges and also talked them into allowing me onto school property to attend prom the following week. Surprisingly enough- the teacher I'd filed a complaint against asked me out after graduation. I guess he's into the whole being dominated thing? lmao.
RE: teachers coming on strong to students: CAN WE SAY CREEPY?!!?

Recently some of my high school teachers have been finding me on facebook and wanting to "catch up," etc! Like, no.
And I even dated one of my college instructors (he was dissertating, not as big of an age difference as it sounds like!) but something about the fact that they knew me when I was 16 is really awkward (especially the ones that were "cool teachers" whom I got along well with. Way to ruin that!)

RE: your antics - damn, yo. Quite the badass, you were! ;)
lol. I have 2 or 3 of my teachers on FB. They were the ones that I got along really well with though- a psychology teacher that I used to go for drinks with after I finished college in England, an english teacher that i had a crush on Jr year of HS, my newspaper teacher from HS, and my broadcasting & media teacher from HS. lol. Sometimes it weirds me out, but mostly I just see them as friends these days.

yeah, i was the little rebel. funny thing is- for as much as I acted out, I never got into any really big trouble that i couldn't talk my way out of. Shame I can't seem to do that these days!
On Facebook I got my 3rd grade teacher - it's been neat catching up with her, as she was only in her early 20s or so when I had her; the lady that taught band my Senior year (my sis has her for choir - she was fresh out of college when I had her); and my high school newspaper adviser, as she was probably one of my favorites!
oh! when I was in high school, maybe Freshman year I think, the music teacher we had then was REALLY creepy (I was in band, but the band and choir went on a lot of trips together and shared the music room)! There was one time, people recall him having a few of the girl sit on his lap during a bus ride, and then there was one girl in particular the he started meeting with after school regularly for "private lessons," he broke off his engagement that year and then days after this girl graduated, they were dating.

I don't know if they ever got married, but I know they were together for awhile!
You talked your way out of an open container of alcohol? Haha.

You must be good.
lol. its amazing what a nice rack, a pretty smile and some subtle flirting can do!
I talked my way out of underage drinking, an open container, and drunk in public. I'm just that good... or that bad?

Long story short my friends and I were drinking in a car and they went to go get cigarettes while my friend Emily and I sat in the car and waited. With 2 full cases of beer and our drinks in our hand bright lights appeared and cops came up. All they made us do was pour out all the beer and get a sober ride home. I'm of age now so it's not like I'll have to worry about that one, as long as the keys aren't in the ignition.
