The Bloggers With The Most To Say

Today, my Italian side is coming out full force - I'm spending the day making pizza from scratch. If it didn't take so much time and effort I would do it all the time!

My question is what is something you make from scratch that is way more delicious than something you could order from a restaurant or buy in a store? Besides the pizza, I make a really great lasagna!

I make a great lasagna, and awesome peanut butter cookies :)
I'm starved just reading this! Can I come over?

You can come over but you can't move in... ha ha.
Deal!
I also make a pretty ok chili.
I make toast, cereal and canned soup. So anything you make will sound excellent!
Herb infused Salmon <3 and white rice. =]
I need to start making sauces...
everything :p
ok, except salad. i never trust myself just taking the lettuce/veggies from the fridge and washing it and eating it.
but, anything i make from scratch looks horrible and nothing presentable like the restaurant / pre-made stuffs. my tortellini dish looked like a family portrait.. wrinkled grandpa, big uncle, skinny mama, tall bro, and tiny baby. hahahhaha
Cupcakes. From the store or even some bakeries, it just tastes fake usually. But from scratch? Delish.

Also, my dad makes a really awesome coleslaw. I always find that the ones from the store are too sweet, but his is always perfect.
Good lasagna is one of my favorite meals, I’ve followed various recipes and tried different things but the best one I have found so far is by British chef/cook Delia Smith. I tweak it slightly but the deep flavor of the ragu combined with the creamy sauce is awesome, don’t be put off by the cooking time (4hrs for the ragu alone) it is worth the effort.

I'm not much of a cook but I recently made pickles and dried my tomatoes. Does that count? lol

I have been getting recipes from Real Simple magazine, they have a lot of vegetarian stuff and it's all fairly simple. I don't really have one or two great things I make because I can live off sushi, raw vegetables and Ovaltine. The recipes from that magazine though are doable even for me. I did linguine with roasted peppers and zucchini a couple weeks ago, that was pretty good.
