20 Something Bloggers

The Bloggers With The Most To Say

At first when I started my blog, I did it because I enjoy writing and taking pictures.  I thought this would be the perfect way to share these things with others and also keep a journal for myself.  I had also found several blogs that I enjoyed reading on a regular basis.  That was basically it.

Now that I have became an active blogger (just about two months now), I have discoverd that the blogging community is pretty awesome.  It has turned out to be sort of an online family to me.

Everyday I get excited to update my blog and read the feedback from my readers; I find their kind words and input so helpful and encouraging.  And I love all the great ideas and inspiration I get from reading other blogs.  Blogging has truly become more than just a hobby for me, it now has a permanent place in my lifestyle.  I just love it.

I also think that this site, 20sb, has played a big part in me becoming more active in the blogging world.  It has introduced me to a lot of awesome bloggers.

I am intrested in getting feedback about this.  What do you think about the blogging community? Have you had positive or negative experieces?

I look forward to hearing what you think!

I totally agree. I discovered 20-something bloggers a few weeks into my blogging "career", and I've never met any of you in person...but you've all been really supportive of me and I heart you all.

I recently had to move out of NYC, which is my first love, and into LA, which (don't kill me, Californians!) I HATE, and I blogged about how sad I was. The response I got from my fellow blogg-ians was overwhelming. The profile comments are here and here. Seriously, some of my friends weren't even that nice. When I come back to NY I'm partying with all of you.

Sorry to get dramatic on your ass, but I really do appreciate you all. So thanks. <3
You KNOW I'm finding you as soon as I come back. Try and stop me! AHAHAHAHA!
I'm still really new to the whole blogging scene, so I can't comment much. But from what I've seen, bloggers (here at 20sb, at least) tend to be a friendly and welcoming bunch. And it's always nice to have discussions and chats with people from all over the world, like any other internet forum.
ALL bloggers are NARSISISISITTS with bad grammer.
I would have to say I totally disagree.
And I must say I think this is supposed to be a (pretty funny if you look at how "narcissists" is spelled) joke.
To tell you the truth, my blog wouldn't be half of what it is without the support of the 20sb community. I am so grateful to have this as an outlet for friendship and networking. It's so cool. :)
I'm pretty new to the blogging community, and I'm sort of overwhelmed by the way it has welcomed me and my stories...especially the 20sb website. I wasn't even aware that blogging had become THIS huge (I know, been living under a rock much??), even though I'd actually been blogging myself and reading friends' blogs for years.
To me, other people's blogs are like amazing books that I read before going to sleep (or while doing everything else, really) and it's still hard to grasp the concept that it's actually real people with real lives that I'm reading about.
As for my blog, I didn't think people would be interested in reading about my life. I always wrote/write for myself. But now I have one more excuse to do it. And it's actually nice to think that someone I don't even know cares enough to keep clicking through my pages and even comment on my stories..
I agree that it's a nice feeling to know that someone takes the time to read your blog and might actually care what's going on.
yeah, it's nice and weird at the same time. lol
i mean, sometimes even your real life friends are too busy to check in with you and listen to you, so it's amazing to me that regular strangers stop by and take the time to give you advice and support you etc.
I've had extremely positive and some bad experiences with blogging. Overall, I think the blogging community is ridiculous levels of awesome. Such incredible support, such amazing people, and genuine friendships. I love it. What I don't love is the cliques however - the "cool group" domination, the fact that there's sometimes a mentality that you have to subscribe to a set of "rules" if you want to be a successful blogger - I really dislike that. I think you should write whatever you like, whenever you're struck by inspiration, and stay true to yourself, instead of conforming to fit what's seen as popular in order to gain more readers/comments. But other than that, I LOVE the blogging community. Some of my closest friends have come from blogging! :)
are there really dominating cliques? wow, i hadn't realized! so what's considered "cool blogging" and what's not? sorry about the questions, writing to me is just a way to express myself, i can't believe there are people who would want to follow "rules" just to fit in...!?
