The Bloggers With The Most To Say
How much flirting with your readers is too much?
I've been on both sides of the fence--the "THIS IS NOT A DATING SITE!" side and the "Hey, if they like my words, I bet they'd like the rest of me too!" side. Opinions? Does it bother you to see a blog writer relentlessly flirting in his/her comment section? Is such behavior better left to AIM and e-mail? Or do you think anything/everything is fair game?

Interesting topic. I never imagine or have thought of people flirting in their comment sections. Ofteim times it could be noticeable but I never experienced it myself nor knows anyone else that has or is flirting with someone else iwith their readers.

I think it depends on how you view it... if you see flirting as a negative thing (which i don't) then i can see why a bit of banter can annoy others. But i think if it annoys you then it must be because you 1) can't/don't join in so are jealous 2) don't understand how a bit of attention makes ppl feel good so how is that a bad thing? 3) either have fear or insecurity that revolves around your own ego? All i know is that if it annoys you... then its something about yourself that you need to address. Either lack of it in your life or too much of it??
Not sure why i have to analyse everything btw... lol but i do like a bit of flirting. Makes my day go quicker and happier AND i've been told i'm a terrible flirt ;)
and also u never know where every interaction will lead!

I have to disagree with you. I think that if someone is annoyed by flirting it could just be that they aren't interested, and it's annoying to read through stuff that doesn't intesrest you to get to what you came for.
