The Bloggers With The Most To Say

Does anyone know how to do this? I feel like I pretty much suck at everything that is not drinking excessively or sleeping....excessively... or using elipses....(wait for it)...excessively. I read a lot of blogs, and it seems like so many people have their lives SO together. They like wake up in the morning and are all "FU*K YEAH!!!! Time to get all things done!!!!!!!!". I wake up and think "Oh no, not again". Waking up at 7:30 everyday feels like the movie where the guy wakes up with the horse head in bed with him, only daily, and only I would probably go back to sleep with it there as this is an excellent excuse to call in late.

SO how do you do it? How do you wash dishes, do laundry, keep a clean home AND blog and seem awesome over the internets? If you're that douche that posts all kinds of awesome projects and pictures of newly decorated/painted/organized rooms, how do you do it? Or conversly, is there anyone like me that finds, what on the surface appears to be normal things, to be quite overwhelming? 0.o

haha! this is an awesome thread! I feel pretty much the same as you. I think the key to waking up thinking "fuck yeah!" is doing something you really enjoy doing. Which is so cliche- but probably true right? I mean, I wouldn't know- I haven't got there yet, I still wake up thinking "oh no, not again" :)

How do I do my dishes and laundry? Well, I'm a clean freak- and I like organization. A lot. But I agree with you- it's amazing to see how much people can accomplish- especially if they work a full time job! I can't even imagine. All I have time for after work is my nightly run, dinner, and sleep.
My opinion is that the people who seem like they have it all together don't, and the ones that do can only maintain it for a few minutes, then something messes with it and it's back to fixing things.

My tip on doing dishes and laundry and all the house work stuff that sucks is having 1 day where you do it all, or doing it in little pieces every since day and sticking to it. I do laundry about once a week, dishes as soon as dinner is over, and any major cleaning projects Saturday morning before I do stuff Saturday night. I cook on Sunday nights and eat what I made the rest of the week. This gives me time to read, go out, sleep, watch tv and have fun when I want to.

I don't have it all together. Sunday night the ignition broke on my car and I couldn't drive yesterday, had to have that replaced and now I owe my parents for the repair because they drove me to work, came over to my house to have the locksmith come fix it, and then my step dad mowed the lawn and took out the trash. I have a lot of help, and I'm so embarrassed to ask for it. But once I do I'm always better off. I live with my sister and she is a slob, not to mention pregnant and annoying.

I got tired of doing the dishes every day so I stopped; yesterday she did half of them??? Who does half the dishes? Whatever. No one’s life is perfect, you just have to find something that works for you and go for it. Then expect to have stuff mess you up.

Getting ahead is about having the ability to adapt.
Deception.

i have no money - i have no time. i like waking up early, but then i like to sit on the sofa and watch last night's TV.

at the moment, i've been too busy to even blog - i've literally got a couple of spare 5 mins to say something here and then i'm busy again.. but when you realise that the whole day is actually a really long time, you start do accomplish more.

i make appointments for 10am on Saturdays - just to get me up and about. i plan my meals in advance so I know what i'm cooking that evening when i get home from work instead of thinking *ach, i just don't know what to dooooo*. i also use my blog as a reason to do things and last weekend i made pancakes just so i could write about them (but didn't, because the boyf had bought a different kind of butter than i'm used to and they tasted rank).

i do get jealous about what other people's lives seem like on their blog - but then i realise that my life might seem quite awesome to the eyes of a reader, too, and to me it's just a normal kind of life - so i think they maybe some of the ones envy are just blagging it like i do!
I find that keeping a clean home and doing my chores and keeping a blog and seeming awesome over the Internet is not possible. So now I just focus on my Internet life and wallow in my own filth at home. :P

The more you have to look forward to in life is that much more you wager to lose.
Sometimes I feel like you too and wonder the same thing about myself. But I just try to remember how much better I feel when I get up at a decent time and get things done instead of sleeping all day and being lazy. I LOVE relaxing in a clean house and having freshly cleaned sheets on my bed, so that is what drives me to do those things (I don't think many people actually ENJOY cleaning, but it is rewarding). If I don't have anything to do I'll take the dogs for a walk or go run some errands, or just read a book. However, there is nothing wrong with lazy days of sleeping and doing absolutely nothing, as long as it's not every day, because that will just depress you!
Here is a list of things I can't manage to do:
*Get my car inspected (the cop didn't like it when I told him I considered the Dec. 09 stickers "vintage").
*Pick up the rear seats of my minivan from the apartment I moved out of in November.
*Return library books from last summer.
*Fill out some tax-y form that the IRS keeps yelling at me about.
*Put bills in the mail.
*Return my Netflix movies (I've had these ones since October).
*Wash my sheets.
*Put like $5 in one bank account so that it will quit stealing money from me.
*Yard work.
*Cash checks. That's right. I even procrastinate on getting money.

I am exactly like you. It's like, I could return those library books and I could make a dentist appointment, but I'd rather just listen to CDs and stuff and deal with the dental pain and effed up credit score later.

I do have a couple strategies to appear more put together on the surface. These are:
1) strategically place laundry in the dirty clothes of my roommate and boyfriend and pick them up when freshly laundered,
2) bake cookies and give them to people as an apology when my red sock effs up their laundry,
3) do as many real-life things online as possible (like bills and stuff),
4) drink enough to fall asleep before 11 pm at least one day a week.

You're welcome.
