I Totally Called It
When I was a kid I used to read these:
When The Vampire Diaries became a TV series I was like, "they're totally doing that next." And I was right. So I should be a billionaire, but I'm not, because I missed the boat and didn't pitch it myself.
So 20sbers: if you could see any book series optioned into a movie or TV show, what would it be? (Porn counts, yo.)

These are two of my favourite books:
I absolutely love them. Years later, I found out that someone had decided to attempt a TV pilot/episode sort of deal (which, back in March, they decided wanted to continue). I watched said pilot-episode-thing, and I came to the conclusion that I wanted to knock the people who did it into a coma. I'm all for creative liberties, but that was atrocious.
So, I would like to see a remake at the attempt that stays true to the characters in the novels (at least in terms of their relation to each other and their personalities). It's amazing to have a supernatural detective sort of man who believes in the interconnectedness of everything on the planet, but it's annoying as hell to have him and those who make up the story portrayed so dramatically wrong. :| *rantrantrant*
PS, I only found out about this nonsense because I was originally like "I WANT TO SEE THIS AS A TV SHOW/MOVIE." And then I went to look up a link to include with it, found out about the pilot-episode-thing, downloaded it, and wanted to mourn my favourite characters. :(
