I Wanna Get To Know Ya! Part Deux!
Well this went really well the first time - got lots of responses and found some great new blogs - so why not try it again!
Basically this is a forum for you to post your Blog Info and a little about yourself so that we can all find some new reads/readers, maybe a new friend or two, or just find out a little more about some of the folks on this site. I don't know about anyone else, but I can find it hard to find friends and new reads on here just because there are SO many users and forums.There are so many great bloggers out there whose voices should be heard (and blogs should be read!), so why not gather in one place to make it easier to connect? Lets get some conversations going!

Current Celebrity Crush: Eric Bana (saw Hanna last week and damn, that man is hot)

Name: Nikki, but I actually have strange friends who keep shortening my name. Nicole -> Nikki -> Nik/Nic -> n ??? Pick one, it works.
Blog: c.apricio.us -- I'm being lazy right at the start, sadly. Moving, not having my own place (in the house), and having the beau hovering over me doesn't help. I try writing during lunch at work, but I've been going crazy recently.
Favourite Movie or TV Show (pick one): I'm bad at picking favourites. So the movies I can watch about 50 times over are Inception, Memoirs of a Geisha, Clue, The Fifth Element, and Snatch (even if Brad Pitt's faux accent sucks). There are probably more, honestly. TV Shows tend to be Doctor Who, Dead Like Me, and The Riches.
Favourite Song (pick one): Again, I suck at favourites. I'd probably pick something by Gackt (like GHOST or REDEMPTION), since I just adore his voice and instrumentals.
Current Celebrity Crush: Harry Lloyd? Actually, that's back and forth. He sometimes looks super creepy, but he can be super adorable. Otherwise, I adore Eddie Izzard and Lee Mack. Oh! And Ken Watanabe. In all honesty, I don't tend to like a lot of the guys who most women go absolutely-batshit-crazy-gaga over (like, I'm absolutely blind about George Clooney and Brad Pitt).
I absolutely have a thing for comedians, obscenely talented musicians, and polyglots. I like weird words (defenestrate). And I like awkward animals (penguins, platypuses, and komodo dragons).

Nikki, I like you already lol. I love that you have such unique interests and not what every other person likes. I have to admit, I don't actually know who Harry Lloyd is! lol. I don't tend to find conventionally attractive guys cute sometimes too - my all time celeb crush is Kevin Spacey and most people think I'm really wierd for that!

Harry Lloyd isn't well known. If you've seen Doctor Who (which I LOVE SO MUCH), he was in the second David Tennant (also cute!) season as a creepy and possessed Jeremy Baines. His facial expressions absolutely kill me because they're just perfect for any scene. This is even better if you watch the BBC's Robin Hood. Also, mentioning Doctor Who reminds me that I adore their new Doctor (Matt Smith).
Also, Kevin Spacey does have an interesting look to him. But I like those unconventional men. Before he got old-looking (as in not aging gracefully, like Sean Connery did) and when I was in high school, I thought Tim Curry was absolutely handsome. :x
Maybe it's men with interesting features and/or quirks? I don't know. [PS, I already like you, too, Kim!]

Ah I see, Doctor Who! I know who you mean now. Yeah I dunno what it is either - I just think it's more about their "vibe" - I mean someone may not be conventionally handsome but they may just give off this aura of confidence or charisma, or they may have a great-sounding voice or nice eyes...sometimes you can't put your finger on what it is, you're just attracted to them! My bf is like that - most ppl would say he's not conventionally handsome but I love his voice and smile. Great looks are overrated - most "pretty" guys are either boring or they know they're pretty (hate to stereotype buuuut...)

Current Celebrity Crush: Meh, I don't really have one. Maybe Jake Gyllenhaal? Used to be Adam Levine, but I don't like his new totally tattooed body, shaved head, and emaciated figure look. I don't watch too many movies, and sick of reality TV, so I dunno... :-\
My chinchilla's name is Thumper (had one in the past named Nacho) hence, the nachothump.blogspot name. I'm shocked with how fast the years are going by. I guess I'm pretty fickle when it comes to things, or ideas. I change my mind quickly, except with people. I'm reliable and a good friend, really silly with usually a ton of energy. I laugh a lot, usually until I'm red and crying from it, I'm really sarcastic, I love pink, sparkly or cute things, am obsessed with chapstick and buying purses, get along with 99% of the people I meet, and though I'm aging, don't plan on growing up and getting stuffy any time soon.

Thanks for your lovely response! I'm jealous that you have a chinchilla, they are so cute. And Nacho is pretty much the best pet name ever. I am very fickle too - I am very indecisive and I get bored super easily, so I have lots of interests too. Depends on my mood most days. So, I can see why it's hard for you to pick one favourite anything

Favourite movie / TV show: Favourite film is probably A League of Their Own, although I haven't seen it in quite a while. I could recite the whole thing as a kid - much to my parents' annoyance! Favourite TV show is a tough one, but I'm going to go with Frasier, just because I can go back to it again and again and it always makes me laugh.
Favourite song: This is liable to change every five seconds, but I'll go with 'Black' - Pearl Jam. Don't quote me on that though!
Current celebrity crush: Eddie Vedder. Nom.
What else? I love dinosaurs, Lego, and things that are yellow. A yellow Lego dinosaur would make my day. I'm a PhD student by day and a video game nerd by night. I like to read under the covers. I dress like it's 1994, and have yet to become a grown up in any sense of the word.

Chris Meloni is hot! Totally agree lol. I Hayley I love your response re. your favourite movies and how you framed them based on the different parts of your character. I really enjoyed Garden State too, and just watched Anchorman on tv the other night (I love the part where the different news teams have a big street fight lol)

Anchorman literally gets me every time. I can't watch that movie without laughing non-stop and wanting to quote it from start to finish as soon as it ends.
And Christopher Meloni is just so drop dead sexy... he could solve a crime for me any day. ::sigh::
