The Bloggers With The Most To Say

I don't want to sound like a grammar Nazi.  I definitely am not.  Neither is my grammar perfect.  But there are times when I read blogs and I come across obvious (to me) spelling/grammatical mistakes and I'm not sure if it'll be the right thing for me to tell the person that s/he misspells...I know some will take offense and get on the defensive...

How comfortable are you to take said criticism - for lack of a better word?

Will you get mad at me because I call you out on spelling mistakes?

I welcome it. I often read through things I've written several times and don't catch my mistakes. They say it's better to have someone else read your writing, but most of the time, no one else is around :(
I agree. It's really better to have someone else read it. So I probably won't hate you. But it would be uncomfortable if you post it on comments or something. And I'm sort of used to relying on MS Word's Autocorrect feature because that's what I use at work. Like when I type "nad" instead of "and," I would just ignore it because Word automatically corrects that. Blogger doesn't have that feature. Also, I secretly blog while working so I have no one to proofread it. So most of the time, I only notice (and correct) my errors after the post has been published read by people which is really embarrassing. Haha!

Wait... Am I answering your question? No? Sorry.

What I'm saying is that I wont hate you. I would actually looooove it. But you can do it on a private message or something. ;D
I'm not sure. With me, an combo of English not being my first language and dyslexia there will be mistakes. I do my best, but I'm very aware that they sneak in there. So if people started commenting on it, I would more pressure and discomfort when writing a post. Often, if I'm very unsure of how something is spelled, I'll state that in the post. In those cases, of course I welcome the help. But all the other one... not so much.
I'm already impressed with your English because I know that English is not your first language. So I would overlook any mistakes you make while writing. ;p
Thank you! That's was nice to hear, I'm very self conscious about the errors you see :)
Ditto! For English not being your first language, It's wonderful! Better than most people I know today, in fact. Which is sad for America LOL.
I would love it. It irks me when I find spelling/grammar mistakes in my blog. My husband blogs and he always asks me to read his blog over and look for mistakes after he has posted. BUT I think it depends on the individual. Come to think of it, it might be a little awkward if an anon just commented on my mistakes.

You know, people get paid to do that kind of thing... maybe you should look into it (if you like doing it).
Proofreading? I'd like that! ;p
English is not my first language either. Technically it's the third. But I do my best. ;p
Third? I didn't know that about you.
Till now.
Yay!
Third? Really? That's very impressive! I had you pegged for an American :)
Nah I'm not American...;p

Thank you....
