I know a lot of bloggers on here dream of being best selling authors one day. If you were to write a best selling book, what would you want it to be about?
I would write a book called, "This One Time, At Jesus Camp," and it would be a hilarious tale of the debauchery that occurs at all manner of Bible camps.
I am actually currently working on this, so please don't steal my million dollar idea.
I've had this idea to find people that have been victims of discrimination and do a book about the emotional and personal side of it, rather than just the statistics.
I'm not a writer and have no desire to be one, but a book about what it was like to have a world full of poverty, hunger, racism and war, as a retrospective, while living in a world no longer burdened by any of it comes to mind, or a book titled "when we had nuclear bombs - from the same perspective.
if i were to ever manage to write a whole, entire book. it would be so angsty i'm not sure i'd even want to read it. why is it that it's so much harder to write out of anger and frustration and sadness than the happier sorts of emotions?
There is a novel I keep writing in my head about a Canadian guy I met on a recent diving trip to Belize over Spring Break. I really fell for him and he later found out after the trip that he had a girlfriend. I wanted to write a story about what could have been - some romantic what if story about us reuniting years later underwater on another diving trip. A story full of missed connections that later ended up being something.
my high school adventure called the 7 up girl series :) one book for each year...
working on it still...and have been since i was a junior.
keep your fingers crossed. maybe one day i'll be lucky :)
i'd make it a bunch of autobiographical short stories. and i'd hope it would be funny and embarrassing rather than emotional. gosh i wish i could think of examples right now. sorry.
This is the nerdiest thing EVER, but it would be about marching band. Something like, "the life of a band nerd" (I need something that sounds a little better).
