The Bloggers With The Most To Say

I just blogged about saying I'm sorry. It seems like something we say when we don't really have anything to be sorry for, and it's also something that we tend to say but not actually mean.

When you say you're sorry, why are you saying it and do you mean it?

I had a CMU proff (Dr. Randy Pausch) that said an apology has three parts:

1. I'm sorry.
2. It was my fault.
3. How do I make it right?

So many people skip that last part, but that's how you can tell sincerity.

I completely agree with this! I’m good at saying sorry. I’m bad at forgiving. It's something I work on every day. I wrote about how you can tell a sincere apology from a fake one awhile back on my blog. You can read the post here...

Thanks! I'm going to have a look at this after work today...
If I am truly sorry I always say "I'm sorry" even though I usually have a hard time admitting I'm wrong in the first place.

I never say "I apologize" unless it's something I don't really mean. I find that phrase to be the most insincere apology ever.
