I just blogged about saying I'm sorry. It seems like something we say when we don't really have anything to be sorry for, and it's also something that we tend to say but not actually mean.
When you say you're sorry, why are you saying it and do you mean it?
I had a CMU proff (Dr. Randy Pausch) that said an apology has three parts:
1. I'm sorry.
2. It was my fault.
3. How do I make it right?
So many people skip that last part, but that's how you can tell sincerity.
