The Bloggers With The Most To Say

Every year I try my best to gather  up the best collection of indie/alternative records for the holiday season I can find. Here's this year's mix for anyone who's feeling festive :)

What are your favourite Christmas songs? Indie or traditional?

I love The Vandals Oi to the World! I remember dancing around my house to that when I was a kid. It's funny too, because now that I listen to it being an adult I think to myself "Why in the world was I listening to these songs?!" As in, they aren't kid appropriate.

I also love Nat King Cole's "O Holy Night" and "I'm the Happiest Christmas Tree." O Holy Night gives me goosebumps. And The Happiest Christmas Tree is just all 'round fantastic.

I really like Low's Just like Christmas. As far as whole albums are concerned, Sufjan Steven's Songs for Christmas has a great mix of traditional and new songs and there are some nice piccies in the albums too ^_^

i JUST wrote a blogpost about this! i have the same ravonettes song on my list too :)

i also love sufjan stevens' christmas album and belle and sebastian's christmas album.

besides the songs on my playlist, i just heard this great song called "no christmas for me" by zee avi and i'm also digging "don't shoot me santa" by the killers
