The Bloggers With The Most To Say

So I've got a Wordpress self-hosted blog, for quite some time, and I'm happy with it. But recently, I've noticed Disqus all over the place, and I'm considering implementing it for my comments. Now, I am quite happy with my current comment system, but not as happy with the number of comments (low).

Anyone with experience in Disqus, I'd love advice: is it worth it? What are the highs and lows?

Thanks!

Nathan, as someone who used the Wordpress-thread-comment plug-in for my own blog until recently, I definitely recommend Disqus. I've had no complaints about it and I personally love it both as a blogger and a commenter.

I'd love to try out LiveFyre as well.

Hey Berrak, feel free to send me a message if you want to Try Livefyre, I can send you an invite. Thanks!

Alright, I think I'm gonna take the plunge and check it out. I like the fact that it's connected to a huge network of commenting worldwide.

Jenna, I appreciate the offer, but it seems like LiveFyre offers many of the same features (though some seem to be decreased?) but without the established community that Disqus has. Of course, if I'm wrong, please correct me.

Thanks for your help everyone!

We are still in private beta right now and continuously building features. While we don't have reply by email, the social tagging and real-time updates are unique to Livefyre. I understand your feeling about the established Disqus community. We'll be out of private beta soon and growing our community, so keep an eye on us! Thanks for your feedback :)
Disqus is nice! I've been using it since I started my blog. Pretty cool that it can import your previous comments from your blog. You can try it anytime though.
