Kicking the Bucket

This may come off a little odd...

Do you think people who have passed away (from illness, accident, anything) knew they we're getting ready to, um, "set sail"?  I've heard strange stories from people who have had loved ones pass away, and they say that they knew they were going to die soon.

So, do you think people just know they are about to die?
