The Bloggers With The Most To Say

So I'm thinking it's time for me to take the plunge and go on birth control again...

I used to be on the pill, but wasn't all that pleased with the side effects... so I'm wondering ladies- what are you using and are you loving it?

Give me some suggestions! :)

I'm on Natazia.  Sounds like a stripper's name, I know.

Apparently it's pretty brand spanking new - it has different doses of different hormones on different days.  And only a 2 day period, to boot.  I'm on my third month, and have liked it so far!

Wow that sounds neat! I'm definitely writing that name down... and what a great name it is! :)
Wow cool! :) thanks for sharing!

I'm in the same boat, been on the pill since I was 13. I take Marvelon 21; was on Apri last year because our government will only pay for generic medication, and not name brand... Apri made me miss my period of six months. I seriously thought (so did my gynecologist) that I had cancer. Tests came back fine and she found out that four of her patients had the same issue. Now I'm back on Marvelon.

I only have my period twice a year. My mother still thinks that's not good.

Yup! Mine told me the same thing, but my mom is old school and keeps telling me "your period is a way of cleaning yourself!". Gah. Mom! Stop. LOL.

I did the pill but I did Yaz & loved it! I tried off-brand pills and they made me sick. I have multiple friend that did the Depo shot (3 times a year? I think?) But most of them gained weight on it.

I also did the patch and really liked it, I had to put it on my hip  because on my butt it would peel off from me pulling up and down my pants. and on your hip it can easily be hidden when swimsuit season comes around again.

Good luck!! :)

No good!! I do retain water so it was perfect for me. Wouldn't it be nice if one birth control couls just be perfect for everyone? I know.. keep dreaming! :)
I take the shot. And that's the only thing that's bad about it: weight gain.
I've heard that depo causes weight gain by quite a few people! So lame!

I was on this for a while....a long while.  I gained only a few lbs, BUT I spotted and bled for two months straight.  Not Cool.  I changed and am happy with my generic version of lo-estrin.

The ultimate birthcontrol?  Overnight babysitting.

Bahhaahaa!  I have found that adopting a puppy has a similar effect. :)

Condoms and prayer.

(I didn't like the side effects of birth control.)
