Meetup in Santa Barbara / So-Cal area?
Hey bloggy friends! Any west-coasters who'd be interested in a Santa Barbara or LA-area meetup sometime? Or is everyone within spitting distance of Chicago?
Santa Barbara is super fun, I promise. Great clubs, beautiful scenery (hello beach!), and laid-back atmosphere.
Update: Sounds like LA area is a better bet than Santa Barbara at this point (but if you ever ARE gonna be in the SB area, tweet me! @tabithablogs). In the most immediate future, this Saturday, 7/11, I will be at the Orange County Fair as early as 12:00 PM(ish) and would love to meet some bloggers! Let me know if you're thinking of coming, and we can set up a meeting point at the fairgrounds.

I'm getting married in Arcadia (Pasadena area) the second weekend in August, so realistically I'm not very available for a meetup until mid-August...UNLESS y'all want to come to Santa Barbara mid-week. :-P
Although...I am planning to be in the LA area basically every weekend between now and August 8th, so if anyone puts together a casual meetup, tweet me! (@tabithablogs)
I guess I want to get an idea of how many people would be up for a Santa Barbara meetup similar to the Chicago one, and then look into planning one in the next few months? Maybe?

both? i guess? i don't know much about how the chicago one actually worked, except that there seemed to be at least some level of organization for specific events rather than just a one-time, "hey, we're meeting at such-and-such on this night at this time." like, make a whole weekend of it?
(can you sense how well organized my thoughts are?) :-P

We spent a few months working out details for the event. Months aren't needed if you're planning a local meet-up if folks aren't flying in from other cities. Are you thinking of a one-day meet-up or a weekend full of blogger goodies?

to be perfectly honest, i have NO idea. for the next several weeks all i can really focus on is my wedding, but a casual one-day meetup might be doable. in terms of something a little farther out, i'd be happy to entertain the idea of a full weekend of fun!
