Mission: Do something for someone else involving food. This can be as simple as buying the person behind you in line's coffee, or something as elaborate as getting together some friends and cooking a Thanksgiving dinner for your next-door neighbor. Did someone you know just have a baby? Make a quick meal for them and help them out for a day. Have a passion for helping the needy? Find a soup kitchen or a food pantry that's serving Thanksgiving dinners and volunteer.
I took a girl I know who is a new mom out to dinner. She really needed the break and couldn't afford to go anywhere, so I Really had to talk her into it, promising I'd tell her about Why I was paying and she couldn't argue. :) I think she really got to unwind, plus it benefited me too since I got to get to know her better. It was fun.
This is a great idea! I love cooking for people and I just learned that french onion soup only needs 3 ingredients =) YUM! I may be having an awesome lunch date soon.

I recently donated to the Boy Scouts of America scouting for food drive and sent my Gram back to her apartment complex with TONS of Thankgsiving treats and desserts for her to share with friends since many of them couldn't get to a Thanksgiving dinner.

Instead of scrapping our plans to meet up for a dinner out when a couple of friends had to cancel due to being strapped for cash, I cooked them a dinner at my place instead. I feel like it barely counted as fulfilling the mission since I had such a great time, but I also have plans to take a donation to the santa claus parade here this week. I love, love, love these missions!
It's almost a cheat, really, but I did manage to pull this one off. This guy I've been seeing? Yeah. Made him dinner for the first time.
It's just that, as long as I have known him (which admittedly isn't a very long time at this point) he's been generally happy, talkative, and all around energetic. He's always making somebody laugh. But he'd had a rough couple of weeks with very little time to just sit and be, to relax and regroup, so I took one of my random days off and cooked ALL DAY, and he got to come "home," and just sit while I finished things up, and eat a hot meal complete with pumpkin pie to finish off. This kid has been nothing short of amazing to me, and not only was it time to show my appreciation for all of that, but I also felt like it was something he really needed-- not necessarily to be fed, but just to have somebody do something nice for him and let him forget about things for a few hours.
