The Bloggers With The Most To Say

I just wrote about my move from San Diego to Alaska.

What is the biggest move you've ever made.

And was it worth it?

From Illinois to Utah to meet my fiancee face-to-face for the first time (we were in a long-distance relationship since I was 13), when I was 18. I moved in that night and not even a month later, we got married. ^_^

DEFINITELY WORTH IT!!!
I love that Angela!!
I'm super interested to read these responses - my hubby and I eventually want to move from Wisconsin to Florida. We're working on saving up for the move right now but it's going to be one of those "just because we need something new" kind of moves. Fun, exciting and a little scary!
I'm a BIG believer in the need for change sometimes. I think the "just because we need something new" reason is a perfect excuse to move! It is so expensive though...
Agreed. We've had a rough 2010 so far and we both kind of decided that maybe what we need is a little shock to our world. Even with the expense I think it'll be something we'll regret if we DON'T do it.

Plus it'll be nice to not have to deal with all that Wisconsin snow ;-)
The biggest move I ever made to date was from Arizona, to Maryland...It was really difficult because 1) My parents just got divorced and my mom got offered a job in D.C. thus why the move 2) I love Arizona, I miss everything about it and 3) I was a freak in Maryland. I had cowboy boots and demin skirts and wore turqoise and had a 'funny' accent.

I have lived in MD on and off since I was 9. I currently am back with mom, but in September I will be moving permanently to England. It will start with grad school, probably continue on to doctoral school and then I will live and work there permanently. I am 100% scared shitless. But I feel deep down to the smallest bone in my body its the right move. And everything that I'm doing now to prepare is worth it. The saving (and spending) of money so I am prepared to live there, the student visa fees, looking for accomodation blind...it really is all worth it. In fact, my blog was actually created to document everything that's going on w/ this whole move.
What an amazing move Tiffani! I always wanted to go to grad school in another country!! It is really scary to make such a big move, but it will be so worth it in the end lady!
Great story, sif!
Thanks Peppers! I love adventures like that! :)
I'm looking forward to reading all the responses. I've never made a huge move, but am starting to think that it is what I need.
Eilis - I swear that a good move can totally turn your life around. I really think that sometimes starting over is the best thing you can do for yourself! Plus - I just love moving! :)
That's what I'm thinking. THanks!
