The Bloggers With The Most To Say

Sooooo in the New Year I'm moving to India (Delhi specifically) for 1 year to work/volunteer. I'm wondering if any of you have been to India and if you have any tips, suggestions (what to pack - what not to pack), and what, in your opinion, is are must see sites/experiences (besides the obvious sites like the Taj Mahal). Particularly interested in footwear! (Looking for a comfortable & stylish everyday sandal).

Very interested to get some feedback from other 20somethings :)

Feel free to follow my adventure on my blog From India. With Love.

Thanks!

(& please, no warnings on the 'smell' or 'how dirty it is' i'm well aware :)

This is awesome. I have only been there once and that was when I was very young.

Should be fun to follow.
thanks cooper! i look forward to having your read along :)
Well I live in India. Am an Indian. If you need anything ask me. About packing, please stick to modest clothing. shorts are a big no no. low necks, short skirts any of these are no nos. delhi is one of the fashion centrals but it depends on where you are staying. Stick to flats (ballerinas) or something like that and your commute should be easy. apart from that carry a long and wide shawl/scarf wherever you go.
For any other questions you can ask me on twitter. Have a good trip...
thanks so much for your generous offer to answer my questions! & thank you for your tips & suggestions on clothing - i'm not much of a shorts kinda girl anyways ;)

i'm following you on twitter now so if anything comes to mind that i'm curious about i'll be sure to tweet you!
Yup. Just saw you on my twitter. Following back so I can offer help when you need it. :-)
As a headsup, I'd say actually take tampons with you- they can be difficult to find. Also, in terms of footwear- go with practical/comfortable, and you can pretty much pick up anything you need in Delhi or the cities without much of a problem. Same with clothes. Just go with the practical stuff.

Good luck! x
