NaNoWriMo - Are you attempting?

So I decided to try NaNoWriMo this year. I don't know if I am crazy or what, but I'm going to try.

Anyone else trying this year? And if you have done it before, how did it go for you and any tips?

No way do I have enough time this year, but I'm slowly talking myself into it anyway. I figure that even if I fail miserably, I will probably still get more writing done than I would have had I not attempted.

I know I really don't have time for it, however I think it will be good. Like you said, forcing you to sit down and actually get some writing done. I'm forming a somewhat support group to those of us who are insane enough to try. That way we can kind of help motivate each other.

So far so good. I was in Houston this weekend helping a friend move with no electricity. Anyway, hand written was the only way I could do it, and by candle light. I got it typed up this morning though.

How is your story coming along?

Oh wow. That's ridiculous! I'm glad you got a start on it and that you got it typed up this morning, though.

Mine is coming along slowly. I have a little more than 2000 words right now, and I'm trying to get some more work done on it before I go back to work. I don't know if this story is going to be worth reading... it's a murder mystery -- something I've never written before. But hey, if nothing else, at least it's getting me writing again. And that makes me happy.

What is yours about?
