Need Help With My Name
Hi everyone!
I am new to blogging - started this summer on wearingmascara.com
Anyways, I am going through a "Blog Identity Crisis" and now am considering changing my name to something more open. I am inspired by bloggers who have a name that is only theirs (lifehacker, dooce, etc) and not a keyword or a mix of keywords. If anyone could visit my blog and see what you think (I did a recent post about it: http://www.wearingmascara.com/2009/01/blog-identity-crisis-would-lo... ).
Two names that I'm really considering are: zeesa OR julieology.

While I think the name wearing mascara is awesome and to me just says 'hey im a girl! what now?!' I think julielogy is a good one too. cause its like the ology of...well...you. :)

I just can't decide if I should keep Wearing Mascara (I have about 150 followers) or change it. I like Julieology too but since I already have followers maybe I should just keep it?

Are you entirely moving the blog, or just renaming it? Because if you aren't relocating, then the followers should return. You could also inform them by blogging about your name change.
Hell, even if you are moving your blog entirely, tell your readers. If they care enough and enjoy what you have to say, they'll follow.
P.S. I love Julieology.

I think that your old followers will continue to follow you if you keep them in the loop. Let them know when you change things, and provide a link to your new website if you do decide to go that route.
Wearing Mascara is cute. And Julieology is also super cute. Sorry, I'm not much help. Do what feels right!

Ugh I'm still so torn. I'm also terrible at making decisions. Right now I feel like I still to decide if I even want to change it. I would be relocating my blog to match the URL if I did change it.

I actually prefer Wearing Mascara. I think it's more unexpected and unique. I moved my blog once, and it was kind of a pain, but worth it, because I didn't like my former domain name.

Sorry, I think I was a bit confused.
I thought you were keeping "Wearing Mascara" as your blog title, but changing your blogging alias (the name you post with).
I still like Julieolgy though. :)

I think 'wearing mascara' is cute... but if you're not feeling it, then maybe it's time for something else
