The Bloggers With The Most To Say

I was reading through the thread about being Secretly Promiscuous where somebody mentioned that in their first year after losing their virginity, they slept with 8-10 people.  I was the same way (except for me it was 6 people in the first six months, then nobody for a year...).  And I got to thinking about it, and I know this to have been the case with many women.

Why is this?
Did you become a slut after losing your virginity?
What was the reasoning?

After I lost my virginity, I kept doing it with the same man for a while. And I remember how I used to be hornier. It was like the dam walls came down. LOL. I guess, it's like you take a tiger from its regular habitat and put him in a different location where there are a lot of chickens. Of course, the hungry tiger would chase 'em and eat 'em up...until you change his location again and place him amongst the turkeys...from deers to chickens to turkeys...

Am I making sense? Ha!
It can depend on how you lose your virginity as well. If you are in a relationship then you may not sleep with a lot of people after you pop your cherry, unless you like cheating.

If sex means nothing to you in any other way than physically getting off that may be a part of it. If it does mean more then you may be more inclined to be selective about who you sleep with.

Some people want to rack up the numbers and enjoy the chase and the reward of sex. There are loads of reasons.
When I lost my virginity, one of the first things a guy friend of mine (who also happened to be my ex's best friend) said to me was "for the love of god, please don't become a whore like the other girls do." and when I asked him what he meant by it, he told me about how nearly every girl he knew slept around a lot immediately after they lost their v-plates. I laughed at him, but i knew he was right- I'd heard of the phenomenon before. I think that first year, I slept with 4 guys... 2 of whom I was in a relationship with, 2 were one-time flings. It wasn't until after I graduated HS that I started to sleep around more often, but that came to an abrupt halt in 2006 when I moved to England for a year and vowed to be celibate while I was there.
I didn't really have that experience, but I can see why that would happen for many people. It's addictive, right?! :)
I imagine that "Newly De-Virginized Sluts" is also the title to a very compelling porno film.
Ha! seriously
Oh yeah, that was a good movie
It seemed to be common with my female friends growing up. Once they got a taste they realized what they were missing out on and wanted it as much as possible.

Being a virgin is like that kid who grew up without cable in his house. All he heard about was how awesome TV was, but he never got a chance to watch it. Then, when he finally gets cable, all he wants to do is watch TV. Sex is the same thing except it puts you in better physical shape :)
I like to think that sex is better than cable... maybe I'm watching the wrong shows
I didn't really right after, but my first year at college (and I was still living at home mind you) I doubled my number... I wasn't trying to get laid all the time, I just had more opportunities and went with them. I was in love when I lost it, and after I broke up with that guy it took me along time to get over it. he is gay, I think that made it harder. it was over a year till I slept with someone else, but then after the second guy I sort of want crazy!! From 2 to 5 in about 4 months. Now that I just got out of another serious relationship I'm worried I'll start to get slutty again. I don't care about my number, I care about sleeping with someone then finding they are a total ducher. So I try to either sleep with myself... or no one till I'm sure they aren't going to suck majorly at life.
Being a slut would've been more exciting... instead, I fell in luurve with the 2nd man I've ever been with and 9 years later we're married. I wouldn't trade it for the world though... he's amazing!
I sort of became a slut. But not really, I was just a cheater. I lost my virginity after dating the guy for 6 months... we were 16. I had a really good friend of mine that I had been friends with for 8 months and had a crush on the whole time, and once I lost my virginity I felt bold enough to approach him. I cheated on my boyfriend for a whole year(like 4 times a week) with my "friend" because he was much better at sex than my boyfriend. And, I've only had sex with 4 other people since then, and am now married, so my count will always be 6.
