I think these dorks should stick to hacking world of warcraft servers.  Serious issues are too complicated for them.

Thanks for posting this!

I find it really frustrating and shocking that so many people just go with the media's assessment that the protestors taking part in the growing occupy movement are not articulating what they want.

It seems pretty simple to me.  The rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. This gap between the two is huger than it's ever been and people have had enough so they are determined to exercise their right to protest until something changes.

Now that I understand a little more about this thing, I retract my earlier, slightly critical comment.

That being said, I think the movement would probably be taken a little more seriously if they had a proper figurehead of some sort, but I guess that's not happening...

I actually think it's kind of interesting and cool that there isn't a "proper" figurehead. It makes it seem like more of an inclusive movement with everyone standing for themselves and for each other rather than rallying behind one representative.

A lot of people are saying that this movement doesn't have a focus or a figurehead and while that's true, I think that this article explains why it doesn't:

http://www.cnn.com/2011/10/05/opinion/rushkoff-occupy-wall-street/i...

From the article:

"...unlike a political campaign designed to get some person in office and then close up shop (as in the election of Obama), this is not a movement with a traditional narrative arc. As the product of the decentralized networked-era culture, it is less about victory than sustainability. It is not about one-pointedness, but inclusion and groping toward consensus. It is not like a book; it is like the Internet."

At the heart of the situation, though, it seems most dissatisfaction from the Occupy group center around being upset that money controls the government and the United States' decisions, while it should be the other way around.

That's a great way to sum it up! Thanks.
