The Bloggers With The Most To Say

So is it just me, or are there WAY more ladies than men on here. Not that I mind, no single guy would hate it, but I just can't tell if thats my perspective, or really the case. Sometimes I worry my blog is only funny to the male demographic.

I think there are more ladies than guys, but that doesn't mean what you write is not good or funny. I often joke with my wife that I have a 12-year-old boy sense of humor. ^_^ I haven't checked out your blog yet, but I most likely will.
You better check yo self!

Sorry, couldn't be helped from seeing your blog url.

It's not just you, there's a lot here and it's cool but getting in on topics that are anyway remotely gender related is like jumping naked into a pool of piranhas.
nice. i like the wordplay.
I have that impression to. It almost seem as there are more female bloggers then men, especially among the personal bloggers. I don't why that is though.
There was another topic on this the other day but I have a hell of a time finding posts on this forum. The proportion of male bloggers to female bloggers favors the men greatly but in terms of writing about life, experiences, and emotionally related things females seem to blog way more about that. I'm guessing largely because that's kind of the dynamic males and females have in the real world and it's probably just extended into the virtual world. I see a lot of men who blog about sports, politics, philosophy, business, power, money, anything tech related from design, development, marketing etc.. and women I usually see blogging about relationships, humor, life, dating, fashion, etc.

Certainly there's females that post philosophy/politics (Arianna Huffington for example) and men who write about their feelings but for the most part I think people pretty much stay in the same areas their culture has indoctrinated them into.

Any thoughts on that, Carina?
When it comes to political blogs or business blogs, I agree that men tend to dominate.

It might be because, like you said, that is the area their culture have placed them... How ever, at least in my part of the world, it has been more and more common that past decades for men to open open up and be more talkative about their personal lives, experiences and it's become more accepted for be interested in their own appearance. There was a lot hype about this so-called metro sexual man. And men (again in my part of the world) stay at home with the babies, paternity-leave is almost as big and comment as maternity-leave. Yet, I don't see a lot of "daddy- bloggers" out there.. Where are they? To be honest I have no idea. I find it very odd that there are not more male bloggers who post stories from their own lives.
I kind of hate that it is so "gender based" as I have a lot of hobbies most women don't. Gaming, for one. My massive love of Star Wars, Star Trek, anything geeky, etc. But I feel like if I blog about that, many of my current followers would just be confused. :P

Not to mention my celebrity crushes and what not are women and not men, haha.
I wish so many of my guy friends would but they don't see the point in it or something. I feel like I'm always saying, "You have so many interesting thoughts/ideas & I don't get to talk to you that much. And why don't you put those ideas out for other people besides just your immediate friends?!"

I really wish my brother had a blog or something...at least one I knew about anyway. I stumbled across some of his old writings and he's a really good writer, I think. He has Asperger's so, dunno, sometimes he has a really unique way of putting things.
