Personal emails from blog readers?

I have my email address posted on my About page and I get several emails a month from readers looking for personal advice, i.e. how to stop bullying (a topic I've never discussed). Has anyone else had strangers contact them and, if so, why?

I receive a few emails from readers who just want to chat and share life stories/thoughts. I love it. They normally turn into epic 50+ email exchanges.

That's awesome - I've had several of those as well and developed some great internet friends though it. I'm continually amazed at how many like-minded people I've connected with through blogging.

Yeah, that's my favourite part about blogging, is meeting and touching people from all over the world. I get emails asking me about my disease, and coping tips, and like medicine experiences. It makes me feel more connected and I learn alot too. I feel so strange when I get an email from like the UK or even Brazil, and they're people going through the same thing as me, its amazing :)

I sometimes get e-mails from other bloggers and blog readers. Mainly questions about what I have posted and sometimes asking for blog design help and tips. I never get super personal ones though.
