The Bloggers With The Most To Say
Please help: I'm taking a poll - this could be life-changing
Also, I'm a bit dramatic.
I've spent countless hours browsing the interwebs in hopes that I would find the perfect Wordpress theme for my new dot-com domain. (Until it's perfect, www.samborastranger.blogspot.com will remain my home base.)
I want YOU to help me to decide which theme I should use. After all, I want the look of my blog to appeal to total strangers.
I'm into minimalist designs and plan on adding my own custom header, though I'm not sure if all of these blogs allow for that. In any case, please PLEASE respond here and let me know which design you like best and why. Also, if you detest a certain layout, feel free to say so.

like handgloves, indore and lysa. Lysa is quite different though - it depends if you want that kind of look for your blog.
I love my current theme, but there are a few things about it I'd like to change. I guess if you're self hosted you should be able to customise almost everything, though?

Handgloves is alright. I have a personal preference for Elegant Grunge. Maybe I was sold on the title before I even clicked, though?

Thanks for the responses so far! The fact that Handgloves and Elegant Grunge are the top contenders definitely helps. The more I look at all of them, the more I favor those, too.

Okay, so sometimes when I ask for advice, I do the opposite of the advice given. It's not a form of rebellion or intentional obnoxiousness, but sometimes getting others' opinions makes me realize what I truly like.
I went with Cutlines, though if I continue to be frustrated as I am, I might cave and go with Handgloves, because I do really like that one, too. What I'm struggling with now, though, is changing the header images.

However, I understand almost none of this. Mainly, it's this part I don't get:
Customization
If you construct your own header files following the conventions outlined above, then all you’ll need to do is upload your images to the following directory:
http://yourWPdir/wp-content/themes/Cutline/images/
The Cutline header.php file is constructed so that images created and uploaded in this manner will integrate seamlessly.
Where the heck is this directory? I'm just not sure where I'm supposed to upload these images. Do I have to put them somewhere in the original zip file on my computer and then upload the entire theme to WP all over again? Or can I put the images somewhere in the HTML of the theme?
If there's a kind-hearted soul out there willing to help me, I'd be forever grateful. I'm 50% certain that this is the last help I'll ask of any of you about this theme thing. Thank you!
