The Bloggers With The Most To Say

It never ceases to amaze me that sometimes, I put a lot of effort into a blog post I am passionate about, and I don't get a lot of feedback on it. But yet, when I write a random entry about what I eat for breakfast and why I feel breakfast is so important, I got tons of comments and emails.

What have you written about that's got you a ton of feedback you weren't expecting?

I agree. I also think when we're passionate about something too posts can tend to get lengthy as opposed to "bought a cute dress, ate at this hip cafe." And let's face it. People are lazy. We like things to be easy, short and sweet, and even if someone is passionate about something, we just can't be bothered to spend a whole 3 minutes reading a blog post.
I agree with this too - I've read posts that are beautifully written and have blown me away, but somehow it didn't seem right to put that in a comment. I feel like my comment would have to live up to the post...which never happens!
I wrote a couple blogs about my hunt for the perfect Mrs Doubtfire for my kid....I didn't think anyone would care about our Nanny hunt, but I guess they liked my thought process behind the hiring and firing! ha!
The most comments (or page hits) I've ever received, came on a guest-blogger post. Ha. Guess I made the right decision! Thanks, Danaconda for making me cool. It's probably because of your big wiener, no doubt.
You're very welcome, and this "big weiner thing" isn't all it's cracked up to be - blessing and a curse my friend. That doesn't really make sense though with your comments, especially considering you have twice as many followers as me. Looks like you're doing more right than I am.
Big wieners are kind of painful. At least in MY experience. Haha.

Yeah, that may be true but I've been networking my ass off in 20sb for like four months so that's probably why. Plus, girls see a boy on a girly blog and it's like throwing a bloody stumpy arm into a sea of hammerhead sharks. Everyone starts fighting over you and the cat fights commence!
I wanted to make a post but didn't have time to, so I wrote one sentence:

"Getting a girl is like taking a shit: You can't force it; it has to come naturally."

That got more comments than my blog ever had at the time. Sure, it was only four, but ya gotta start somewhere right?
I get a lot of feedback on my cooking posts, which kinda surprised me. Then again it's also easier to post a comment like "mmm that looks good" than one that requires deep thinking.
I find this too! Although when I rant about my boyfriend a lot of people offer support and advice. Although they are probably secretly thinking 'Thank God it's you not me!!'

Not sure how many of you guys use Wordpress but they have a "freshly pressed" front page which puts several blog posts on the front page per day.

I wrote something slightly controversial, it got posted on the front page, and a firestorm ensued.
O Canada, Why Must You Wear That Flag?
