Well this might not be a topic which would interest everybody, but nonetheless it's quite interesting in itself. I came across this while I was watching an episode of 'Boston Legal'.
So according to a study your chances of getting fat over a period of time are higher if your contacts get fat. I thought it would just be some sort of a fictional turn of event as shown in the TV Series, but then I searched for some information and saw an article in NewsWeek (click here to read it) which subscribed to the thought.
I've read something similar. It makes sense really, if you are an active person your friends will be active it you are inactive your friends are most likely to be so, and over time you'll have a much better chance of getting a little fatter.
I think its easy for people to surround themselves with people that share the same lifestyle. I want to start working out so the last thing I need is the motivation of a couch potato... but at the same time, that couch potato could collect stamps, and in 20 months, I'll have two books full. Life is a journey- thats for sure!
