The Bloggers With The Most To Say

Permalink Reply by Naomi Anselmo on February 15, 2012 at 5:13pm I've started replying on my blog, and then (assuming the return address isn't no-reply@blogger.com), I cut and paste that reply and email it to them as well. That way, other readers see that I respond to comments (since I know that's important for me to know about other bloggers), AND I can be sure the commenter has gotten my reply. Only thing is probably only 30% of the people who comment on my blog actually have an email address attached to their comment/account. I've put a little disclaimer at the top of my comment box reminding people to include an email address, but I haven't noticed that that's made much of a difference...
Permalink Reply by Ashley on February 16, 2012 at 2:07am If you have blogger, they installed a comment thingy where you can reply to comments now. I used to use disqus but it doesn't really work on my site.
Permalink Reply by Sarah on February 16, 2012 at 7:03am I reply to their comment on my blog, but I always leave them a comment on their blog relating to their own post, and then at the end I say that I left a reply to their comment back over on my blog incase they want to check it out.
Permalink Reply by April B on April 6, 2012 at 1:22pm I just respond to the comment they left on my blog. I just assume they have alerts set when I do when someone adds a comment to the thread. I shouldn't assume, I know. But I do like keeping the conversation in one place as opposed to going back & forth trying to figure out who said what. Most people respond within minutes when I reply to their comment, which makes me feel like they're getting email alerts.
