sorry that reply sounded more enthusiastic than I actually was. I just meant that if someone smiles at you the polite thing would be to smile back. i have never heard of anyone meeting a love interest over a smile whilst walking down the street.

well, an aquaintence of mine met her husband when she was sitting down outside having lunch at a restaurant with a girlfriend...he was leaving and their eyes locked, she smilied and said it was love at first sight.
even though i don't really belive in love at first sight--that's proof that you can meet someone by just smiling. I'm sure if she had given him a poo-poo face it wouldn't have turned out that way, and he might have not approached her.

What if he stuck his tongue out at her? Not in a dirty '80s Motley Crue band way, but in that childhood playground behavior way.

I don't know, but it worked for me...when I was 7.
