The Bloggers With The Most To Say

Just wanted to let people know. I found that my blog was displaying some invisible links that pointed to spammy things and it turns out my Wordpress theme was hacked. I'm running the latest version of Wordpress so I thought I'd let people on 20sb know in case they've also been hit.

Basically, just hit view source on your blog site and search for "display: none". If you find a match and you see some spammy words around those words, then your blog has probably been compromised too.

Thanks for the heads up! I use a customized version of a pre-packaged theme and didn't find any code injected into my header.

@Justin, he is using a custom theme he coded himself...that's the scariest part!
It is scary good luck. I was hacked at blogger twice, which is why I finally left, but last summer my self hosted site underwent a weeks worth of DOS attacks which I never clearly understood, my host notified me and they did something about it - I can't even remember what.

I try to routinely check my themes, that really sucks, and yes, having this happen while using a self coded theme is scary.
