Suggestions for a blog/web design company?

Hi all!

I need some suggestions/recommendation for a web design company. Basically I will soon be looking for a website as my book is going to be published (hooray!) and I'd like another site/blog aside from my personal blog.

I ad a go at designing a site on Moonfruit and although it's nice, it doesn't look that professional, and people on older browsers/PCs cannot view flash-based sites.

I have had a look around for sites/companies in my area and they seem to charge THROUGH THE ROOF for a basic design. All I need is one or two pages. I can see the layout in my head and it's pretty basic. I can make sites myself but am not that good, and quite frankly I just don't have the time. I'd rather pay someone to do it - that said, I don't particularly want to pay half my month's salary for a simple site.

Do any of you know of some good blog or web design company that could do this sort of thing? I'm thinking of perhaps having it based on WordPress as this tends to be easy - it's just the design I need (And after reading about Delicious Design Studio who I always thought were pretty reputable, I'm a bit dubious!)

Any suggestions? :/
