The Bloggers With The Most To Say

So tattoos, 20-sb's, what do you think? Do you think they're full of The Awesome? I'm thinking that I'm going to get a third this weekend and I'm pretty pumped. What do YOU think about tattoos?

They HAVE to count for something. I agree.
I think they're a great way to express yourself but you should always be careful about placement. Depending on your career, a poorly places tattoo can ruin you unfortunately. I love tattoos and have 3 myself, very ready for 4!! There are plenty of places you can hide tattoos. I say go for it!! Just like regular art, what's beautiful to some is not beautiful to all so get what makes you happy
Tattoos as art. Love that thought and that's the second time today someone has put it to me like that.
no tattoos for me. can't commit.

There's not a damn thing wrong with that.
I love them but I only have one. Eventually I'd like to get a second one (I'm all about even numbers, LOL!) with something to do with my kids. BUT, I really hate it when women get them like on their chest. I don't know- to me, that just says skank ville. Ew. I have mine on my right thigh, so if I wear a skirt you can't see it, but if I wear a bathing suit or shorts you can. Generally speaking, I don't like it when the tattoos are so up in your face all of the time. I think it can be too distracting. BUT, that's just me. :)
I think I'd feel weird having a boob tattoo. Because, I dunno. I just, uh, would. I've got one on each of my feet and just got my third tonight and like you am planning a fourth. Balance. What it'll be, I have no idea. But something.
I've known that I want one for ages, my problem has always been deciding what! Now I have decided WHAT I want, but I can't narrow down the actual design! I guess at least after years of deciding, I can be pretty sure when I finally get the details worked out that I'll really like what I pick!

I used to be nervous about the permanance, but one day I got to thinking about all of the scars and birthmarks and funky shaped toes we are born with or pick up through the years, and dont get any say over. My body is already a canvas of things that will be there forever- my scar from baking cookies, the mole on my left leg... so why not something I actually choose and love?
I'm annoyingly decisive about WHAT I want, it's finding the right design, which I can't do myself because I am SO not an artist, you know? But permanence freaked me out too until I got my first and then I realized that, like you, it's kind of cool to have something that stays with you forever.
I absolutely LOVE tattoos and think they are sexy. I don't have any but I really want to get one. Just waiting for some inspiration on a tattoo I will love for the rest of my life, a much harder decision than I previously expected.
I love my tats. We have a friend who told me that he thinks tats are trashy...but I don't. I love mine. I have one on my hip bone, a series of stars on the other hip bone (I get more stars added as we travel and go to new places I want to remember), an infinity knot on my back (tramp stamp), and a star on my ankle. My husband and I were just talking last night about what my next tattoo will be. I promised myself that if I could lose the weight I wanted to and keep it off for at least two months, then I could get another one. Right now I'm considering take the stars on my hip bone up and around my rib cage to my back shoulder or changing the daisy on my other hip bone into the roots of a cherry blossom tree and taking that up and around my rib cage. I'm worried to do it before we have kids though. I've never talked to anyone who had tattoos prior to having kids and how they changed. Anyone have any ideas?
Congrats! I love tattoos. I think if they're original and meaningful, I'm all for it! I have 5 and will get another one when inspiration strikes.
