The Bloggers With The Most To Say

I know there have been quite a few topics on tattoos in the past but I thought I'd start a new discussion since searching the forum showed no posts on the existing topics in quite a while!

What's your view on tattoos? Do you have a tattoo? Two? Several?! If so, what have you got and where? Did it hurt?

Or, do you dislike them and why?

I just blogged about removing mine! A horrid mistake! I do plan on getting another one, but will be making better decisions next time.
I have a tattoo (of a dogwood flower) that I love. It's on the side of my ribcage, under my arm. Honestly, if I didn't tell you I had it, you'd never know. You can't even see it when I'm wearing a bathing suit. I like the idea that it's my secret to share or not.

I was sure my mom would KILL me if she ever found out. Then one day she started talking about how she'd always wanted a tattoo around her scar (she had back surgery when she was 16). This is SO out of character for my mom. I pushed her to see if she was serious, I joked with her about us going and getting tattoos together. Then one afternoon, I said, "Okay, I'm coming clean, I have one already." She looooved it--told me it was beautiful and asked me if it hurt. Then she said, "Don't tell your dad, ok? He's not ready for this."

I don't know if I'd ever get another one or not. I had major buyers regret right after this one, and I had thought it through for a long long long time. Maybe if my mom really would go with me :)
I have 3 and love them all very much. They are all in locations that if I chose to not show them you would never know I had them.

First one is on my shoulder and didn't hurt at all. It took 2 hours and after 8 years still has really great color.

Second one is on my foot and it hurt so fukcing bad. It took almost 4 hours and I get so many compliments on it when I wear something that shows it.

Latest is on my lower back and it hurts for the first hour or so and then goes numb. I have had 17 hours of works done over 4 sessions so far. I have one 3 or so hour session to go.
