The Bloggers With The Most To Say

Inspired by a friend's weekly summary in which she posts "Ten Things on a Tuesday" and the phenomenon of "Grace in Small Things" (another ning social network of sorts) which encourages members to post 5 things that make them happy or that are positive in their lives, I've come up with my own mini-meme type thing.
I'm calling it "Ten Little Things" - and every Wednesday I post ten things from the week that have made my week a little brighter.

Today was my second week doing it, and so far I love how it feels to reflect on life for a few minutes and focus on the positive. (You can check out my entries so far here: http://lianhua.nu/tag/ten-little-things/)

Anyway, I was thinking that I'd love to see others joining in and sharing some of the positives in their lives! Let me know if you post, I'd love to check out your lists. :)

I like that idea. It sounds a little Oprah-ish since she does some positive reflection/gratitude journal or whatever it is she calls it. But annoying Oprah aside, I like your idea because we could all benefit from a little positive reflection in our lives, especially on a daily basis!

I think I'll join in and let you know when the post is published.
Aiya, I don't even watch Oprah so I had no idea!
I swear I don't watch Oprah either, but my sister got on some "Oprah book club kick" a few years back...which was shocking considering the fact she doesn't even read!

Anyway, that is when that gratitude journal came into play. Not sure if Oprah does it anymore, but she did at the time.

(I used to tell my sister I will be grateful when her show is over and I'll express my gratitude then.)
About 10 years ago, I remember hearing about a woman who everyday wrote ten things she was thankful for. Her list got published into a book, but I don't know what it was called. I think that the book ended up being very inspirational to many, and so I think your idea of doing something like that even once a week will be very uplifting to anyone who reads.
Yea the book was Simple Abundance Journal of Gratitude, it came out when I was 10 or 11 years old. I remember because I had some relative who sent me one. I think she sent everyone in the family one.

It's a nice idea, but it'd be hard to do on a weekly basis, for me.
Nice idea... definitely follows my current theme. I might join in, too. I don't know if I could be that consistant, but I appreciate the thought of it!
Ohhh I kinda do this every sunday but it's called sunday lovelist. :)

It's nice to remind ourselves we have things to be grateful about.
Its a nice idea. I'd thought I'd see people telling you theirs right here. Lists surely are the fun things to do sometimes...
I love this idea! I'll totally pick this up in my blog and let you know when I post.
me too, good call.
Since this thread got me thinking, I posted 5 things in which I am grateful for on my blog today, in Gratitude Journal format.

Never thought to use it as blog fodder before. Good to combat writer's block. Thank you!
