Don't Rain On My Parade -
It's upbeat. It's lively. It's positive. And it drowns out negative thoughts. I love it.
Probably "Seasons of Love" from Rent because I am going through on of my sporadically occuring periods of being unable to stop listening to it :)

Either that, or "It's Hard Out Here For A Pimp" - because, you know, it is.
i was singing that song the other day to myself :)
I love both those songs and lots of Oldies for that matter.
Holy crud, I used to LOVE the song "Red Rubber Ball"! Thanks for reminding me of that song... need to go see if I can buy the MP3 from iTunes/Amazon...
Hmm. I think the answer to that question changes depending on the season of life you're in. For me, my song would be this (Single Girls by Laura Jansen).
Right now, it would be "Where is my Mind?" by the Pixies.
Great Pick. Has definitely been part of my soundtrack.
"My Way" by Frank Sinatra... always reminds me to shut out what other people think is the proper course in life and to just be yourself.
"Happy Face" by Destiny's Child.

It's a great song with a upbeat tempo. And the message is just good: wake up in the morning and put on your happy face. Your living, breathing. And in the wake of the earthquake in Haiti, this song just make me realize how lucky I am to live the life I live and I'm still alive and kicking. People around the world face disasters, and have hard lives and sometimes don't live. We tend of take things for granted. This song just make me realize how lucky I am.
either "Unfold" by Marie Digby or "OK" by Ingrid Michaelson.
As much as they are overplayed and they drive me crazy... "If Today Was Your Last Day" by Nickelback.

I really do try to live day by day and this song perfectly sums up my theory on life.
