I'm working on a list of things I want to do before I'm 30 - 101 Things to be exact. And I thought this would be fun to ask the 20sb community what are some things you want to do/have/accomplish before your 30th. So far I have about 50 on my list.
A few of mine:
- jump out of a perfectly good airplane (may do this on my 30th bday actually)
- watch 50 of the top 250 movies according to IMDB
- take a road trip with my girls
- camp in a tent
- get my Masters degree
I want to surf Tahiti's Teahupoo, Shipstern Bluff,
Dungeons ( SA) or the Pipeline.
I've seen all of them except Teahupoo and I only want to surf - actually surf - one successfully, and I'd be satisfied.
Become fluent in Arabic
Masters degree hopefully way before 30.
Visit the The Pyramids.
Learn the Tango well enough to do it in from of an Argentinian dance judge.
I'm sure I could keep it up but that is a good start.
By the time I'm 30 I want to either have my Ph.D. or be working on it, I want to have run at least one half marathon (and a couple of other shorter, local races), and I want to have figured out how to use German regularly, even if I'm living in the US at that time. Also before I'm thirty I want to live in a cute little apartment that I decorated myself. (This can be with or without roommates, but I want that experience again before I think about moving in with a fiance or anything.)
My major thing that I want is quite boring - its get out of debt and the way I am going I should reach by the time I am 30 so hopefully I will have loads of space cash to really celebrate my 30th!!!
-keep a plant alive for over a year
-work full-time in the field for which I received my degree
-sleep underneath the stars
-attend a football Bowl game
I love the idea of you wanting to keep a plant alive for over a year. That is not always an easy task. I've just started adding plants to my house this year because it seemed like "something was missing".
Get a cactus... really. Mom gave me one years and years ago for my birthday, I think it was when Boy Child turned 3, maybe 4 and it is STILL alive. You should see this thing; it is bizarre.
I know, I'll grow a plant at my house for you and I'll name it "Nora" so that way it is still technically yours.
