The Bloggers With The Most To Say

Hey y'all! The 20sb meetup will be taking place in Chicago on June 25-28th and the planning committee is looking for input on your favorite places to see and things to do in Chicago.

So native Chicagoans, people who have visited, and even people who have no idea what "Chicago" is, what events would you most like to do at the 20sb meet up. Even if you don't have things specific to Chicago shout them out here!

...made of awesome
Wow, I guess I didn't do anything when I was in Chicago!
Hopleaf, YES! Awesome food, good beer. If you just want to drink good beer and not eat good food, Map Room is totally fantastical (on Armitage in Bucktown area) - better beer selection than even Hopleaf, if you can believe it. Bet you can't. Oh, but it's true!

Uh, I'm a big fan of FOOD in Chicago. If you're willing to go pretty far north, Uncommon Ground on Devon (there's also one in Lakeview, but I don't like that one too much) has live music 7 nights a week (mostly acoustic stuff) and really good local/organic cuisine. Nice bar and atmosphere, too.

I always like window shopping on the Mag Mile, and just one block east of the Water Tower is the Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art--a little smaller and easier to swallow than the Art Institute, which I think is impossible to do in one afternoon.

The Lincoln Park Zoo is awesome because it's FREE. We like free. :) And the area around Damen and Milwaukee is crowded as crap, but there are a lot of good bars and venues right there (The Pontiac, The Double Door, Subterranean, etc.).

I say all the foodies come with me. We'll get drunk and stuff ourselves till it hurts. Yum yum.
Thank you for all of the ideas! I'm totally down for some delicious food that weekend.

And of course you're right about free stuff-- How can you argue with free?!
The Map Room is awesome! The only difference is that the Map Room has a GAZILLION beers while the Hop Leaf have 100% Belgium beers on tap, at least 20 of them...that's not something I've seen anywhere before.

I work off the Mag Mile and I live just north of Devon. Just come hang out w/ me!
Rogers Park 4 Life! I'm on Morse, and I'm moving soon... to another place on Morse. I like it here. Hooray :)

Do you go south for all of your partying, or have you found some good places in the neighborhood? Just curious... I have a few spots here that I haunt.
DUDE! where on morse? I'm on sheridan & lunt
Haha, hi neighbor! Morse and Ashland, soon to be Morse and Glenview, though (the Reside building... I'm so damned lucky)
do you mean greenview or glenwood?

i sometimes blog at the Common Cup or Ennui depending on my mood. warm afternoons, i set outside at Ennui & blog. colder days i'm at the common cup
You're right, I mean Glenwood. Stupid G-streets.

I like Morseland a TON. I have yet to try that new place that opened up, which I think is just called the Morse, correct? Bunch of new bars just opened up on GLENWOOD in the past couple of months. It's rad.
never been ot the morseland but i've been meaning to. i like the feel of heartland cafe, but the food i think is bland. it use to be better. i really do want to check out the morse though. it looks really nice. i see the owner walking down my street all the time. as for the bars, there are a few new bars that opened up that looks really nice.

the mexican place on morse is good for lunch. and i think the grille inn, i haven't been there but i heard good reviews. i haven't ventured up on jarvis yet, but i heard there's a decent place by the train station that has half price wines on a certain weekday
Shit yeah Goose Island tour!
