The Bloggers With The Most To Say

Hi All! I was recently inspired by the Julie and Julia movie and it got me to thinking....what *is* your ultimate goal with blogging? Do you want to publish one day? Meet new friends? Become irrevocably famous? Feature a specific part of the world? Anyways....I'd *love* to hear!!! I always think it's good to set goals for these types of things, helps us focus and be more specific in all these great blogs we have!!

{oh, and truth be told....mine's the irrevocably famous one...go big or go home right?!}

xoxo,
me

i think for me it is to be published one day, but currently just to write out what i think is really important to me.
that's great!!
I think my goal is to find my voice. Ultimately I would love to write a book, but not because of my blog.
I absolutely LOVE that goal. To find my voice is my goal too.
To do some good in the world.
Saw your post via twitter! I think for me, my blog is my creative outlet. I'm a writer. I've always been a writer. And I tell stories; I mean isn't that what we all do in one way or another? We tell stories. Though I do work in PR, I don't always get to exercise my creativity the way a real writer needs. Insert blog.

I also recently watched Julie & Julia in theater and had the same aftertaste. Something about the movie inspires you to go forth and DO. I'd love for my blog to be an example of my writing for reference in future freelance jobs. So, yes, ultimately the goal is to get published. Somewhere.

That's exactly what I'd like my blog to do! A sort of resume or portfolio for freelance work. Do you ever wonder if you need to edit your posts, though, with that in mind?

very cool. I'm hearing finding your voice (that's a great one!), creative outlet, do some good (!), rebuild a life.

Very neat. Yeah in response to doing some good, sometimes it's just like, can we just create one pleasant place where there are pretty things in response to all that is going on in the world. lol.

And you found this on twitter?! How weird, how does that work!
i notice that about blogging after relationships makes it a smudge easier to get through.
I'm glad that you asked this. To be honest, I don't know if I have a goal. I just knew that I needed to start writing. If I had a goal, I think it would be along to lines of challenging people to maybe look at things from a different perspective. I think I also want to create a space for discussion to happen. My blog is mostly about my opinions and beliefs. While we all want someone to pat us on the back and tell us how correct our opinions are, you don't really grow very much that way.
lol, that's very true. good point
oh, Lol, I actually started blogging right *after* I got married to be able to remember what our first year was like. But yes, sometimes really good things can happen after getting out of relationships. I remember buying a cat and taking a cross country road trip to go live in Washington State! :)
