I don't think there is anything wrong with it. I have a Facebook fan page for my blog because it makes it easier for friends and family to follow, especially those who do not blog (which is most of them).

A lot of people have Facebook profiles just for their blog, too. A way to stay anonymous/separate blog friends from real-life friends.
