Recently, my girls and I got into a big brunch discussion about personal fashion laws. One friend flat out refuses to wear leggings, EVER (I wear them all the time, so she harasses me by calling me Lohan and sends me leggings-gone-wrong photos from celebutant magazines). Another will only wear her curly hair straight. Another will only wear red lipstick--no pinks, no browns.
This all got me wondering what other people's personal fashion laws are. What will you NEVER wear? What laws have you broken? What laws do you wish were enforced?

My rules for me:
No spandex, no skinny jeans, avoid white pants and overly cutesy stuff. Major patterns and neon colors are okay in very small doses. I also stay aware from any animal print and "fur" (real OR fake) in general. I also refuse to wear big name brands, just because I don't want to feel like a walking billboard.
No gold. No lettering or words unless on a sweatshirt. No skinny jeans. (Though I have worn leggings...) No white eye shadow. No shift dresses. No blush, I only use a highlighter on my cheekbones. And nothing remotely pink...
But I do... Wear demim on denim. Mix black and brown. Wear assortied array of eyeliner colors. Wear my pearl earrings with just about everything, including jeans and a t-shirt. Wear white jeans all year long. Wear undershirts under everyting, if not, I feel naked.
And I only wear one perfume. The One by Dolce and Gabbanna. And until I smell something more intoxicating, I don't plan on changing.
I adore pearl earrings with everything, especially jeans and a tshirt. You look casual at first, but the earrings give a little bit of a girly/sweet vibe. Love!
I need to jump to the defense of Teva's though- I totally agree with your "no" on the original style, like these. But they also make regular flipflops, which I definitely own.

Very simple; NEVER under any circumstance should you wear a t-shirt, hat, accessory, etc. with a band's name on it to THEIR show. If you do, you are a complete tool.
