Recently, my girls and I got into a big brunch discussion about personal fashion laws. One friend flat out refuses to wear leggings, EVER (I wear them all the time, so she harasses me by calling me Lohan and sends me leggings-gone-wrong photos from celebutant magazines). Another will only wear her curly hair straight. Another will only wear red lipstick--no pinks, no browns.
This all got me wondering what other people's personal fashion laws are. What will you NEVER wear? What laws have you broken? What laws do you wish were enforced?

I refuse to wear leggings as pants. I will not carry fake designer bags. I will never wear Ugg type boots with denim mini skirts because I only have Ugg ripoffs for the cold, they are far from a fashion statement and I just don't do mini skirts! Victoria Secret Pink or Juicy sweatsuits with full makeup are stupid. I don't get that comfy clothes full head of hair done and face made. Just put on real clothes then!
I don't really have any rules because I just end up breaking them. I am however, trying to wear more colour and not wear thongs (as in flip-flops, jandals, whatever) anymore, if that counts.

I really don't like white shoes. Don't know why - just hate them. I also never EVER wear tennis shoes unless I am working out. I just think they are terrible.
I LOATH fake name brand purses. If you can't afford the real thing, just get something cute from Target. Why would you sport the fake C's or LV's - So bad.
I would never not wear a bra. Hangy boobs are never ok.
No fur either. Yuck.
Chunky 90's heels. Excuse me while I gag.
And while I'm on a shoe rant - tourist sandals. The kind that velcro and have the gross pattern usually in green and purple or something terrible like that. NO.
I am with you on the navy and black, but I wear black with brown. I would not wear a brown belt with black pants, but a brown top and shoe over black pants is OK.
The one thing I will never wear are sneakers and jeans (with the exception of Converse). The whole running sneakers with jeans look just does not sit well with me, it reminds me too much of moms! I'd much rather wear boots, flats, heels, or flip-flops. What's especially horrible are white sneakers with jeans, but to each her own.

Mine follow one universal rule: avoid looking like a tacky Stat Rat. No acrylic nails with a French, no Coach bags with the "C" print, no Juicy Couture anything. NO leggings, NO Uggs, NO Ed Hardy. EVER.
