What are some of your Personal Fashion Laws?
Recently, my girls and I got into a big brunch discussion about personal fashion laws. One friend flat out refuses to wear leggings, EVER (I wear them all the time, so she harasses me by calling me Lohan and sends me leggings-gone-wrong photos from celebutant magazines). Another will only wear her curly hair straight. Another will only wear red lipstick--no pinks, no browns.
In my latest blog post, I broke an almost 10-year-old personal fashion law: NO LEOPARD PRINT. (I have nothing against people who DO wear it, it's just baaaaaaaaad on me).
This all got me wondering what other people's personal fashion laws are. What will you NEVER wear? What laws have you broken? What laws do you wish were enforced?

I agree with the muffin top. So no low rise jeans. They look good on one body type, yet most jeans are "extra low."

hmm, for me-crocs, turtle necks (not sure why, but I can't stand them!!), different pieces of denim together, pants that give you muffin top, pointy toed shoes/heels (on me, I really, really dislike them), and off-white/creamy colored shirts; they just don't look good with my complexion.

Yeah. I've never really understood the point of wearing something that doesn't fit. It doesn't look good. It can't feel good. Why?

Skinny jeans. You could not pay me to wear them (okay, if you said you'd pay for my grad school education, I'd probably wear them then). They are horrible.
Acid wash anything. Who gave the fashion world permission to publicize that faux pas not once, but twice?
The Canadian tuxedo: jean jacket, jean skirt/jean pants No way, no how.
Bubble dresses. It would just make me look like one of the dancing mushrooms from the Disney's Fantasia
Shredded/holey jeans. Not bad for some, but on me it makes me look like the economy hit a little too hard in my home.

I never rule anything out. Especially since fashion evolves. I love following trends, but I'm not over trendy.

No spandex or leggings in general (because my mom wears them waaaaay too much), no pink (I haven't found a shade of pink that looks good on me and I'm just not a girly girl). I recently bought a pair of capri leggings though. It's been raining a ton lately so I bought them to wear under my cute summer dresses. I still feel really guilty about it even though it's kind of in style now.

Ummm...leggings as pants. I have nothing against leggings under skirts, dresses, and maybe a long shirt that covers your butt - but leggings aren't pants.
Also those denim leggings are awful. And the metallic ones.
And sweatpants with words across the butt.

No shirts that are too short.
I personally don't like black and brown. That's just me.
No store labels.
I don't like flip flops. (!!!)
No bright colors. Unless it's a small pop of color.
Few florals.
No going out without makeup.
No going out in pajamas.
No real fur.
No brown eyeliner or mascara. (Or any other color except for black)
No tracksuits.
